This is a really great very small motion detector. It’s SMALL but it works as advertised. I set it up with my Alexa and she now tells me ‘motion detected at doggie door’ Yes I’m using it to tell when dogs go in and out. I would highly recommend this device.

I got this product on a lightning deal that made it the cheapest wireless motion sensor I've purchased for my smart home. All of my smart home gear is hooked up through the Samsung Smart Hub and through Alexa. It was super quick to get this motion sensor connected to the network, the Samsung Smart Hub recognized it very quickly, so I had no problems adding it to my devices. I haven't used this product long enough to really comment on the battery life but so far it looks like it should do pretty good. I'm very happy with this product for the price I paid for it, next time it goes on sale I'll probably grab another one or maybe two.

Update after a week: After about a week this stopped communicating with Home Assistant. I've tried resetting, removing the battery for awhile and resetting, reconnecting, etc. and it is no longer working with Home Assistant. No other changes were made and I know that ZHA is still working since my other devices are working fine. Original: I wanted to use this with Home Assistant to be able to turn some lights on and other things for less than the price of Hue sensors. This is based on my initial impressions as I test it out before getting more of them. They appear to have a reset time of 1 minute that is not configurable as far as I can tell. In addition there is either a 1-2 minute cool down period after it has reset to no motion detected, or the sensor just isn't very good. This doesn't seem to be documented, and doesn't really meet my needs or be useful for turning on lights. If you leave the room and come back a minute later you may need to wait another minute for the lights to turn back on. About the only thing I may use this for is a motion alarm when away and I will look elsewhere for something to control lighting.

These are cheap and work BUT: 1) They have a tendency to go off randomly. I have one in a closet, with a closed door (it turns the light on), so I know there is no actual movement, but I see false triggers when I check activity. 2) They do not work easily with Smartthings. I actually uploaded a detailed explanation of how to make these work, but was told it was "spam" and Amazon refuses to post it.... ho hum.

I have had this running for almost 2 months now and it has been a welcome surprise in how well it works. If you have been trying to find a motion detector that does what it is supposed to and is affordable, this is a good product. I can't vouch for how long the battery will last, but so far so good here. It connects easily to Hubitat and is far superior to a few other motion detectors that cost considerably more but are extremely unreliable for what they are supposed to do.

I added this to an Amazon Echo 4. The Echo 4 supports Zigbee devices and it added fine. If this is what you want to use this with, then it's a fine solution to detect motion. It sends a motion signal when motion is detected and then sends a "no motion" signal 1 minute later. The Alexa routines have a time option so you can force it to not trigger (no motion) unless there is no motion for some amount of time, like 10 minutes for example. This all works fine, and response is quick. I was hoping to add it to my HomeSeer system. My system uses Zigbee2MQTT which is a very popular Zigbee support system. But as of this writing Zigbee2MQTT does not support this device. I suspect it will be supported soon. So right now, I suspect that the Echo is the only device that will support this. I have not run it long enough to attest to the battery life but it's active in my kitchen so I will update this review when I have more information.

They work perfectly in a closet, I had to move the one I put in hallway a few times, as it was picking up movement at the bottom of my stairs, I didn't want it going on that frequently.. My other thought, they should give you adhesive strips that can be moved around while you figure out the best location for them.. I do plan to buy a few more of these..
