This item fit nicely in a relatively tight space where additional reading light was needed and it is doing the job. Assembly was not a problem but care should be taken when assembling the shade. As is often the case with such things the cord could have been longer; after all, it's supposedly designed and sold to fit into close quarters where an available outlet is seldom close by. The lamp has been in use for just over a week and the adjustable light/shade has been helpful while a height adjustment would be even more helpful. The lamp was easy to put together as well as the shade. I purchased two lamps for the family room. One next to the love seat, the other next to a small chair. They look very nice. The only issue is the description said a 9W bulb would be included. The bulb I received is marked on the bulb box as 7W. There are no markings on the bulb itself so I don’t know if it is 7 or 9W. Was worried at first, the lamp came in a very small box. Apparently the shade comes in three parts and expands when put together. I do want to mention a quirk of the lamp setting though. At least with the default bulb, every time you turn the light on and off, it cycles through the 3 settings getting brighter and brighter before resetting. This works as described when using the switch, no issue there. However, using a separate smart outlet, the light still functions the same way. So you can't set the bulb to 5000k and use the outlet to turn it on and off. The next time power is applied, it will still advance to the next cycle. Not a big deal, but it could be problematic for some use cases. ... show more

Good quality for the reasonable price. Not hard to assemble. The shade is a little unusual and I've never seen anything like it. It comes sort of flat and you assemble it. There is a small indentation on one side but hoping it will work itself out with time. Brightness levels are a nice touch. Does want to lean just a little towards the shade side but it is on carpet so that's what probably makes it do that. Not too noticeable. Happy with the purchase overall. ... show more

This is a really nice lamp, I gave it 3 stars because it's a 3 brightness switch , it only worked for 2 turns to change the light brightness . It was easy to put together, I got the gray color, the lamps shade is nice .. all and all nice lamp, not to big and not too small. I would recommend this .
