I enjoyed sitting by the fire to relax or with friends but found myself not doing it very often when I had a regular firepit. The gas firepits were much more money than my budget allowed until I found the firebowl. Not only can I used it on my lanai but it us portable so I can take it too the beach or camping too! It is so nice to be able to sit by the fire for 15 minutes or a few hours and not have to wait for the fire to burn down or use water to put it out which is a huge mess. I'm enjoying my fire time more often and was also able to take my firebowl to my neighborhood gathering (everyone gathered around the fire rather than near the heat lamps) which was a huge success. The only thing I didn't like was the carry system that's comes with the bowl. The straps kept unhooking and it was unsteady for me. I had already ordered the carry case and now that I have that problem solved. I recommend this product and already have two neighbors that want to order one after experiencing it at the party. ... show more

    • Perfect fit for Outland Firebowl 870
I have nothing bad to say about this cover. It is easy to put on. The zipper works very smoothly. It feel secure when carrying the unit. This is a fantastic add on. Worth the investment if you want to keep your firebowl well protected and make transportation easier. The Firebowl rocks disintegrate over time and make a dusty mess if the unit isn't contained. This keeps the mess in a bag instead of all over your storage areas. Additionally, the carrying strap that come with the Firebowl 870 is a total joke and basically a worthless pain in the neck. If you try and use the stock strap for transport you will likely drop your unit and cause damage. You need something better than the stock strap....enter this cover. It's unfortunate that they purposely put garbage in with the main product to corner you into purchasing an add on. Shady marketing/sales tactics aside, this cover seems well made and is easy to use. Just don't put it on until the unit is full cooled down. It's nylon...it will melt. ... show more

I wanted the basement in our 5th wheel to have a cleaner look, so I bought this for our Firebowl and it works great! The material is a little thin for what you pay, but it’s nice to have everything needed inside of the storage bag without having to worry about getting any dust in the basement. The zipper opens nearly 360* which makes it easy to get the firebowl into the bag. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.     • Easy campfires with the RV!
Bought this unit after sitting around the same unit that a friend brought camping. It's well made, easy to set up and very easy to use. Will be great for use in some of our state parks where wood fires are prohibited. The only thing I'd like to see different/change is for a way to plug the hose in to the large LP gas tank on my motorhome ( I can do this with my model gas grill). As I understand it, the challenge comes from the regulator on the Motorhome LP tank and also one on the firepit itself, as you don't need two (2) regulators in line! so you wouldn't have proper gas flow. Need to be able to by pass one of them, while of course always having one in line. for now the portable LP tank still works out well. Great Unit, Highly Recommend. ... show more

Picked this up after seeing others with fire pits here in California recently. Since traditional camp fires are becoming rare due to the danger of forrest fires this makes a great alternative. Setup was easy but you must follow instructions and be sure to leak test as shown in the instructions. I originally thought the additional carry bag was included but it was my bad reading as what was included was just a lid and carry straps. So I purchased the bag separately. If you do get the lid and carry straps the bag is not completely necessary. First use went great. Out of a five gallon tank we got over three complete nights of use. Well worth it in my opinion! Since our fire pit will be transported in the storage compartment of our 5th wheel, I wanted to make sure that the fire rocks and ash would be contained and not able to fall into the storage area. The fire pit had a top but also has decorative openings on the sides and I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't make a mess in the RV. If you enjoy the outdoors which includes being mesmerized by firepit flames and the warmth of their dance - but run into areas that are restricted to not using real wood for "fire-pitting", this product is perfect. Lightweight, easy to transport and set up, and super easy to use. I was intrigued by the feather-lite real looking rocks that fill the bowl - and stay in it full-time with the lid keeping them in place during transport and storage. It puts out nice amount of heat and flames are about 1’ high. Attached propane hose is long and the control valve knob is perfect in size and function. The optional bag keeps it clean and new looking, and makes it easy to carry. It’s robust in its build yet amazingly light. Very classy in looks. Love this product. Fits the Outland Firebowl perfectly. Makes transporting the fire bowl for camping easy. I am able to place the bowl inside without a struggle. It it made from a heavy fabric that is durable and dirt just brushes off. The zipper is heavy duty and glides easily. I would purchase this product again.
