This is a great canopy and the seller was EXCELLENT! I originally ordered this and when my husband and I tried to put it together, we quickly discovered we had a defect. Maybe someone bought this and then returned it? I'm not sure, but it was literally in pieces and you could see that the canopy was torn. The seller just asked us to return it and and they sent us a new one. The new one has exceeded expectations! We set it up outside and it's been going strong for months. We recently got a new roof and are waiting for our aluminum awning to be installed. So we got the canopy for some shade in the meantime. It has been perfect in rain and wind. We have it in an open area and also have it tied down with the ropes that came with it. I can see how it might not be stable, just depending on how it is installed. I thought my husband was going a little overboard staking everything down and then tying the ropes. LOL But as it turns out, the man knows what he's doing! Easy to assemble, cloth sandbags and actual metal, usable hold down stakes. I've had it up once so far, in tremendous wind. The Velcro is definitely enough to hold the cover on. The only 2 things i have to complain about are, that the fabric cover portion is about a 1/2 inch too short at the corners so it doesn't cover the upper lock on each of the legs. Only other thing that could be easier on it is the set up process, spreading the legs out slowly and equally is what's required, I've seen ones that have a mechanism to assist with the setup. Instead of spreading out slowly, you just get enough space to push up on the center of the tent and it pushes the legs out and locks them once extended. ... show more

Took this camping and it rained hard and for a long time did not leak. Would be nice if it had a side to put into the rain. No water came in from the roof but from the side. Still it did everything it said it’s definitely waterproof. Great buy.

This is it. Look no further. I saw it a local school, took down the brand name, and bought it. Legs are straight (not slanted. That's a plus). No metal frame hanging low to hit your head on (another plus). Zero light coming through the canopy (another plus). Don't mess around with other canopies. Aside from the fact they sent the wrong color (ordered green to go better outdoors but got blue), the canopy was easy to set up with TWO people. Instructions are a little iffy as they say to partially open frame when it should say open to almost the entire width (Step 1), otherwise step 2 is impossible. Once we figured that out, it was easy. Haven’t used it yet, but is obvious it will NOT be 100% waterproof since there are clearly puncture holes near some of the seams. With any luck, it will not rain when I need to use it. ... show more
