Beautiful light, but it has to be in the sun, so it has to be outdoors when it rains. It gets wet and the metal in the bottom of the base starts to rust and it leaves a rust . Other than that, it’s a great product

The light casting from this woven style solar lamp is beautiful. When I set it on our deck table with a lattice top the light shines through the table openings and creates a separate pattern on the floor. When set on a flat surface, ground, or table the starburst pattern is vivid and unique. Stays lit for several hours, all night after a sunny day charge. I also like that the lamp is a woven design, with a decorative base - this is a nice change of pace from the more typical metal solar lanterns. It's substantial and well made, not flimsy at all. The only issue I have with the lamp is that the black plastic solar charging disc, which doubles as the top, is very prominent and doesn't vibe with the style of the rest of the lamp. During the day the solar dominates the look of the lamp. It's clearly an outdoor solar light, but if the charging disc could be brown, or somewhat smaller, I think it would complete the look of the lamp a bit better. ... show more

The lamp is woven using a hemp rope and creates a nice design when the light shines through it. The light comes from a solar panel on top. It does not rotate through colors. You have to decide what color you want by pulling the solar panel disk off the top and pushing a square button to change the light. I included a picture of where that is located. It is easy to pull off and put on. The colors to choose from are the basic LED colors of red, green and blue and one option for warm white. The base of the lantern is metal and weighted so it won't tip over easily. The lamp is almost 10 inches high and is about 8 inches at its widest section. I LOVE this lamp! It has a real boho chic appearance! It needed minimal assembly, coming in 3 parts, but simple to put together. We were surprised to see that it would work directly out of the box with no exposure to sunlight. There are four solid colors available: white, red, green, or blue.
