I have baseboard heating in my house and it is super expensive. So this year I decided to try out electric heaters. I got this one for my son's room. He has a smaller room so I thought it would be perfect and it is. It heats up almost instantaneously and it gets really hot so I would not recommend having it around small children. But for older children and adults this could heat a large room not just a small room. It doesn't come with all the bells and whistles like some other electric space heaters but it gets the job done and it heats up well.     • Small, not very powerful
This is a small, light, portable space heater - when it arrived I was surprised at the size; much smaller than expected. You could easily put it on a desk or table and move it around with you if desired. It works ok, considering the size - emits heat and has a little fan to blow it straight out. If you are sitting in one spot directly in front of the heater, it may keep you warm and comfortable. This little guy won't heat up a whole room, though. If you are moving around and not staying right in front of the heater, you'll be cold. I was hoping to use this in my garage when I'm working out there this winter, but it won't work for that. Much better suited for maybe a bathroom or very small office. I will obtain a larger and more powerful heater for my garage. Overall I'm pleased that this item works as advertised but I wish it were larger or more powerful. ... show more

I absolutely loathe the winter just because it brings the cold with it. Even during the summer, my wife likes our house to be at a consistent 72 degrees or colder, so I pretty much have a space heater running it my office all day long. I'm a bit extreme though because it can get upwards of 83-84 degrees in my office before I actually feel comfortable. For instance, as I am sitting here writing this review, it's currently 79.7 degrees in my office thanks to this awesome space heater! This heater definitely delivers the level of warmth that I need in order to adequately heat up my 130 sq ft home office which has high ceilings. With my last space heater, I had it on the floor and it was a bit annoying since I would regularly accidentally kick it around. And the automatic shut off is nice just in case I forget to shut it off. Honestly, I didn't expect much from this space heater, given how small it is, but it effortlessly warms up my office and keeps me nice and toasty throughout the day. Now, the reason why I only gave this 4 stars is that the corresponding reviews to this listing are primarily based on the 13 Inch version of this listing - which is a completely different type of space heater. So I feel like the reviews and corresponding ratings is very misleading. ... show more

This is very well made and durable. Heats up very quickly. Blows a lot of heat fast. Perfect for the garage. It gets rather cold in the garage and this will work perfectly for us! It’s a little louder than we expected but I would still recommend!

This is a great little heater. We love the stable base and adjustable angle. This unit can pump out cool air, warm air, and hot air. The heat comes on extremely fast, and even on the warm setting, you can feel the warmth almost immediately. This despite the very quiet operation and minimal heating of the heating elements. It feels very efficient in that respect. The air control is somewhat strange. It is designed as a volume turn knob that is supposed to increase as you turn it to the maximum, however, it's really just an on/off switch. Turning the dial all the way to the left will turn off the fan, once on however, turning it all the way to the right gives you the same level of air flow. This can pump out regular cool air but it's not really usable as a fan unless the unit is very close. For heating purposes, the air flow is perfect. This appears to be safe for daily use, with due care and caution. The heating elements are protected behind grills and don't seem to get very hot even though the air output is definitely hot on high setting. The unit is also equipped with overheat protection that will turn off the fan when the internal components get too hot. This is a very portable design at 3 lbs. We really like the fast and efficient heat output and excellent construction. ... show more

    • Sturdy and though very small, heats a space quickly
The heater is sturdy, which is a requirement I have of appliances I buy. It arrived in good condition and worked right out of the box. The electric cord is large and has all the cautions included on a tag. The controls are simple: Fan, Low Heat, High Heat designated by a fan, a small sun and a large sun respectively. The thermostat allows you to fine tune the amount of heat you want. The instructions also state that the thermostat has a feature that will automatically turn off the heat if a certain temperature is reached. I did not have this happen during the time I have had the heater. I would not use this merely as a fan because it doesn't have a powerful enough flow. But for heat, it is perfect. We are using it in my spouse's home office, which is located between the door to the garage and an open walkway. Despite the location of the office, this tiny heater warms his space quickly and maintains a comfortable temperature. We don't use the gas furnace much in winter, leaving the basic house temperatures low. We use portable heaters in a couple often-used spaces such as the family room and the bedroom. This heater is the perfect size for my spouse's office. If I had another smallish space to warm, I would happily get another to fill that need. ... show more
