Honestly These are the most realistic I have seen; they are bright and actually look like flames. I was disappointed that one failed, but the company reached out and is sending a replacement. I now have no hesitation in recommending these lights. As an update after Taking a non-working lite apart I found that the reason for failure is the switch. When a second failed I simply pulled out the bottom of the wire where it is attached to the switch and connected the two ends. It now works and since I never use the switches on solar Lites this solution works for me. I will be buying another set. The Lites with less LEDs do not look as realistic and those you will find with 93 are much more expensive. ... show more

When I first got them to light up one path from my homestead to neighbor's homestead, the 1st night, they ran down thinking I had multiple small brush fires until they got close enough to see they were fake flames on sticks. 🤣😂😅 We laugh to this day about that! Anyways, added more to a sitting area under my trees where the neighbors, my dogs & thier dogs all gathered many occasions over the summer, they all loved them! They added to the mid to late evening ambience when they came on, along with my string fairy lights up in the trees lighting up the table for game nights, drinking or just chatting. We live up in the mountains & evenings can be very dark up here, so these really give nice glow without being over bearing & are fun with the realistic flames (from a distance). After having these lights for some time I can now review them. I have 12 of these lights. They are a great addition to my back yard landscaping. They are a good size, meaning you can see them from a distance and tell what they are. Not all are this way. The 12 LED's in each of them produces an effect that closely matches a real flame and is very convincing. They stay lighted all night and are bright till morning. The housing is sturdy, easy to clean, and requires only light maintenance, mostly keeping the solar panel clean. Now to the short falls. I have the extended poles. In time they will bend. I'm sure the lights will outlast the poles. I'm looking at metal poles for that fix. My main complaint is they just stop working for no apparent reason. The fault lies with the on/off switch. I am certain it's the switch because I disassembled one and was able to make it light again by bypassing the switch. This is not a problem for me as I leave them on at all times to charge anyway. I have now repaired 3 of my12 with this procedure. I'm not encouraging tampering, just informing those who are considering purchasing them that there is a fix without sending them back for exchange. The replacements will do the same things. I can recommend them because of their effects lighting which is very good. It's disappointing the lack of quality control and flimsy parts accompany the good features. I'm able to overcome the pole and switch inadequacy's so they are now keepers for me. Hope this helps with your decision. Supplement: During the past few weeks I have been in contact with Otdair. Otdair read this review and wanted to know more about the problem areas. I explained all to them. To my surprise they ended up sending me all new poles and mounting accessories. They also claimed they would look into the switch problem. This is great, we'll see. I can speak highly of their customer service. Since my first message from them they have remained in contact every day. It is for this reason I increased my rating by one star. They simply earned it. These are very pretty at night. “Flame” dances just like real fire. No more buying fuel for fire torches. Just put these out this week. They last throughout the night. It’s August, so long days and short nights. Can’t say yet how long these solar batteries will last. I hope I can get a few years out of the lanterns. This is the second set I have ordered. The first set came with 5 of the 6 lanterns working. One did not work. Returned for replacement. Update: The replacement box had 6 working lights. I’ve had them now for about a month. One lantern looks like it’s fading by morning. Perhaps battery is getting weak. Other 5 are bright and working fine all night. I bought the “warranty “ so if this one goes out, I’ll see how well the warranty works for me. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE these. That's why I m giving 4 stars instead of 2 or 3. I use them to illuminate my hot tub and small pool areas for nighttime dips! I have purchased these 3x now, once in 2022 and then 2x in 2023. Pros: *They're gorgeous to look at *No wires or anything at all, just turn them off when done so they stay charged *No worries about bugs being attracted to them *They give off a lot of enough light so I can use them around my pool (with enough) of them so I don't need any other light source *No risk of fire *Unlike a teky torch, there's no maintenance! *You can bring them anywhere! I have brought mine to the beach once for my son's birthday and it was great! No worries about breaking any laws either! *You can adjust the height by taking the polls off (2 poles you can detach making it so you can use 1/2 height, normal height or just post them in the ground) Cons: *Each time I have purchased these, at least 2 stop working after about 2 months so you can't return them because it's over 30 days In conclusion, they're so lovely that I purchased them 3x after knowing that at least 2 of the 6 won't last by least 3 months. I just can't stop buying them though because they're just so nice, pretty and convenient. They're exactly what I need for myself. I've searched all over Amazon but found these to be the best as far as lighting and decor. If you decide to purchase these, I would suggest *Buying 2-3x the amount you need/want *BUY THE PROTECTION PLAN and keep the box! ... show more
