Arriving gift worthy in the impressive fliptop box- it includes the story behind its conception. Originally Made for a mama undergoing chemotherapy from her son (using his skilled knowledge..) this blanket is a solid creature comfort in that regard and has been duplicated to bring the same cooling coziness to another! Everything about this blanket shows love and care… Blanket has its own storage or travel/wash bag that helps protect your investment. Sizing is as expected even a bit forgiving- charcoal gray is universal and not quick to show wear/tear.. made for any end user- male/female alike. Blanket has a slick and smooth feel.. stitching is reinforced with clean lines and all attention to detail expected for a higher end option. Nothing about the fabric choice feels cheap or gimmicky- and blanket has a moveable weight to feel its presence without causing issues or restriction with movement. Coolness factor is very apparent! Reminds me of slipping into bed with cold sheets.. yet, still delivers a warmth from the exterior- I don’t find myself getting hot!! No, it’s not cold as ice or replicating a fan directed at user- lets be realistic! But with its ample size- I find there is always a space that is cold I can shift too as it begins to warm from my body heat! A total 10/10 for keeping a cooler feel.. and all its quality softness has me looking forward to climbing into bed- it’s that type of yum!!! The blanket is great. The only down side is that the blank is really thin and there isn't much to it. But it did stay cool all night long.

Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical that a blanket can actually help a hot sleeper become more cool. When I opened up the pouch, the fabric immediately felt cool to the touch. It felt almost slippery and slick. It retained the same feeling after having been run through the washer and dryer. We got it in the King size, gray color, and the diamond pattern looks good with our decor. We have been sleeping with it for a couple of weeks, and it is simply wonderful. We still sleep with an overhead ceiling fan turned on, but adding this blanket really is helping to promote better sleep. It's a bit too expensive, but so is any specialized product. On balance, considering how restorative sleep is so important, I'm glad we discovered this product. ... show more

I'm now a huge HUGE fan of fabric that has Q-Max ratings. I don't know exactly what's in it, but the Japanese really hit it out of the park when they invented cooling fabric. I now have half a dozen pillow cases and this is my third blanket that all have the cooling Q-Max ratings. So many products out there claim cooling even often down to ones that are just run of the mill cotton, SMH. So cooling has become just a marketing gimmick term. But Q-Max rated cooling is another story. It lives up to the word cooling. What I like about this. It comes in a really good box and a nice bag that is made from really soft fabric. Both sides of the blanket are soft, one of which though is really soft. It lives up to its Q-Max rating. You can really feel the coolness on your skin. To give you an idea of how cool it feels. For my first Q-Max rated pillow cases that cool equally as well as this. I brought it over to my mom's for her to check out since I was so surprised how well it works. Her first reaction to touching it was asking why it was wet, lol SMH. Did you know that humans can't actually feel wetness? It's true, look it up. Our skin lacks the proper receptors to feel wetness. What we feel is our brain tricking us into thinking we feel wetness and much of that is due to simple temperature. So that gives you an idea of just how well this cools. That's not to say it actually feels wet mind you. That was just her first knee jerk reaction without actually really feeling it that much yet. Anyways, another thing I like about it is it's on the heavy side so it doesn't go sliding around easily. You can machine wash it. What I don't like about it. Though it's machine washable it says to not dry it in a dryer. Even on mere low to no heat tumble dry settings. I mean I would think it would be able to hand no heat drying but it flat out says not to so I'm not going to try it. So I had to go out and buy an old school clothing line to hang dry it. But ulitimately that's pretty much a nothing burger. The main issue I have with this is something that would have been a deal breaker and made me return it if this wasn't a Vine review product. Namely the price. Despite it doing a good job of cooling, I just simply can not recommend this at its price. To give you an idea of how much more expensive this is. All my cooling pillow cases cost all of 9.99 each, and those are were mixed with a bit of spandex like material so they have a nice bit of stretchiness to them while this blanket doesn't stretch at all. My blankets were around 40-60. All of them cool about as well as each other and they all have around a .4 Q-Max rating. This comes in a really nice box and the bag like I mentioned but those both seem like something they added just to help justify the cost. It's just not worth it in my book. I mean if you're rich I guess that would be one thing but if you're just normal middle class and certainly if you're poor, there is just way waaaay too many better alternatives out there price wise. If it wasn't for the price I'd have 5 starred this in a heartbeat. But since it's so expensive I have to 3 star it. ... show more
