This is an excellent clipper. I am new to this hair cutting game so I had zero clues about everything hair cut pertinent. A little homework on the internet and a fair amount of reviews and instructional videos on YouTube said Oster was a respectable brand in the eyes of professional career barbers so I opted for it since I believe in reliable and robust products. I have only used it once but My experience with this is nothing short of excellent. It does not pull, tag or cut your skin even though I was using a size 000 blade (although I think my personal preference is size 0000). The battery lasts 120 minutes (per the manual) and thats more than enough for me. It comes with a charging cradle with an 8 feet long cable so it stays in there while not in use. I am extremely happy with it for now and I hope it will last me a long time as it is fairly expensive but if it lasts years and years of use then theres plenty of value to be enjoyed. ... show more

So, I've been cutting hair for a while - about six or so years - and I've used the BGRC+s before, which are a pretty hefty clipper. I got used to them, even if they were weighty. I've switched from using those as I work in a high volume salon, but with a lot of kiddos, so I went with a quieter, more friendlier clipper. But, I missed using my blades, and anyone who's using a detachable blade system knows that it's an investment - which means watching it sit and collect dust is no fun. The BGRC+'s died on me after years of use, so I saw these and knew I had to try them. They are very similar to my old pair, but definitely more of the classic 76 feel without the cord. My blades snapped onto them with ease, they cut decently, and I could feel the ergonomics with the clippers. These ones aren't as heavy as my old pair, but they do have some weight if you're used to a smaller unit, an aluminum unit, or simply just a less powerful set of clippers. My one remark would be that the bearings seem to need some grease and they're right out of the box. Of course, I'll check them out before adding anymore, but if they don't need more grease then these are actually louder than my old pair - by a few decibles. Salons are already loud enough with the hairdryers, chit chat, and other clippers in use, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to use these in my place of work. I will have them in use over the next few weeks, so I'll keep an update in mind. For over $300, I was hoping they would be quiet, as passed clippers have been quiet up until they died on me. But I'll give these a good try, and hopefully fall in love with using them. ... show more

3 levels of power but still manages to feel like the classic 76! The cordless option is great and the battery is going well. Ive used it several times without any issues and it gives a great cut exactly like the classic 76. All the 76 guides and blades fit perfectly as they should. The charger base is solid and works as expected. Easy to use and a great value. Its nice to not dance around the cord. POWER IS SIMILAR TO A CORDED CLASSIC 76. I have many clippers from many companies (all the top dogs) and although this is a bit louder than others and similar in size and feel to the original 76, it works excellent and will always be one of my favorites and kept along side my SC, JRL and TPOB ready to handle business. I’ve had these clippers for about eight months now, and I honestly really like them. They’re especially great for debulking and clipper-over-comb work. I don’t typically use detachable clippers for fading, but these still cut through thick hair like butter. The battery life has been solid I average about 10 clients a day and haven’t had any issues with power running out. They’re also super durable. The weight has a nice feel to it not too light, not too heavy and gives you good control. Overall, they’ve held up great and are definitely a reliable part of my daily setup. ... show more
