If you have someone in your life who likes wine but struggles to open bottles with a traditional opener this is an excellent gift! It looks stylish sitting in the counter and with a push of the button it will extract the cork. Make sure the foil is off to make it easier. Sometimes it will pull the cork through and sometimes it won’t. Don’t use it on wax sealed bottles before removing the wax unless you want to buy a new one (speaking from experience). ... show more

Normally, Oster is a reliable brand. I have no idea how this got any good reviews. It simply refuses to open a bottle and just destroys cork in the process. I have tried on 5 different bottles of different years and on 4 it just made a hole in the cork, the fifth there was not enough power to pull it out. (yes fully charged) Even worse, I can't return it because it was a Christmas gift and then, Dry January. So did not get to try it out until my 30 days expired. But I now have a fancy foil cutter holder. : >) ... show more
