I was on the fence about this slicer but want to make lunchmeat for my husband without additives (yes, I love him). Baked a boneless turkey breast, let it sit overnight in the fridge and sliced it up this morning. The slicer did not move on the counter, the blade was sharp, the thickness adjustment did not move during the entire process and the blade moved through the meat easily. I found it not too difficult to clean although I did use a large toothpick on a few areas just to be sure. I'm pretty much sold on how simple this is and how well it worked. FYI it's my first experience with a machine like this

I only used it once on a pork loin, but it worked just fine. The speed could definitely be faster, and it would be nice if it gave up to an inch thickness (it only goes up to a half inch) Also it wouldn’t be hard for them to engineer a tray to catch the slices. All in all it’s a good product for the price. Lightweight , easy to use, and clean up is pretty easy. Suction cup feet keeps it extremely stable. The blades are extremely sharp so they work well, however I would recommend using a knife glove to insure your safety. Use the guide not your hands for pushing the meat through. I mainly want it to do super thin slices for Italian beef sandwiches.( It’s a Chicago thing ). I’ll update this if my opinion changes.

Used to slice ham and it did a wonderful job. Can adjust thickness. Ease to use and clean up was fast and easy. Very sturdy when using due to 4 suction cut feet. Only down far was the plastic holder to keep item next to blade. The spikes were not long enough to be effective on meat. Would be fine for softer items.

So far so good. I received, opened, cleaned, and used it with some bulk Columbus turkey I bought from Costco. WASHING TAKES TIME Take the blade off and wash it with warm soapy water and rinse it. You can use the same soapy water on a rag or towel to wipe down the rest of the machine before use, using a moist dishrag or paper towel to wipe any soap residue off. You can then dry it or let it dry on its own The blade is razor sharp. Handle carefully. The blade comes off using a quarter or a nickel or anything like a butter knife with 1/8 of a turn to the right of the small plastic Center piece The operation is easy to understand in the manual and is mostly self-explanatory. Take the rubber protection piece off the blade first. I used tin foil to catch the sliced meat People are talking about the angle of the blade resulting an uneven cuts. They are referring to it being angled vertically from being wider at the top to be more narrow at the bottom. What this results in is only slicing the bottom part of the meat unless you put pressure or tilt the meat slightly to the left so that it is flush to the blade. This is not a big deal and widening the opening of the blade the adjustment knob will allow you to have larger cuts of meat that are just slightly thicker on one side. Trial and error will tell you what you need to do but it is a minor issue not worth complaining about. Cleaning took 5 minutes. Only the blade goes into water the rest of the machine cannot be rinsed with running water. You need to wash it manually on a dry surface Blade off, washed, set aside Use a DRY cloth or paper towel, for lack of a better word "dust" off the meat from the machine...all parts. Use a soapy paper towel to wipe off all surfaces of the machine where ever meat came in contact. Use a clean sightly damp paper towel to rewipe everything. Any crevices where there might be meat just blow on it or spray something to get it out but you will be able to get virtually all meat off the machine if you're careful. Reinstall the blade and add the rubber guard over the portion of the blade that is exposed. If this lasts a while it's going to be a good bye. Do not take it out unless you are slicing at least a pound or so of meat to be used later. You will save a lot of money by buying chunks of turkey or ham or whatever and cutting a pound or so as you need it and storing the rest. I wouldn't use it for just one or two slices of something Lastly, this looks to be made a good quality. The description says it has a belt mechanism instead of gears which should prevent the common occurrence you see on similar devices of stripped gears.

Let me start by saying I'm not a chef or a butcher. Just someone who likes to cook and prepare homemade meals for my family. I bought this to slice some homemade bacon and roasts. I try to be value conscious, but not to the point of buying something of poor quality (This can be a fine line) Pros: Two 9" blades Appears sturdy without excess weight Uniform slices and easy thickness adjustment Cons: The design of the meat tray makes clean up much more of a challenge. A little noisy Questionable value for the price The stainless plate on top of the sliding platform is poorly designed. It allows bits of food between it and the plastic platform. Removing the stainless plate is a pain, but necessary for proper sanitary cleaning. After removing the stainless plate, I noticed the black plastic bushings on the slide rail are secured to the sliding platform with a couple of zip ties. While I appreciate the simplicity, that type of thing makes me question if the price point matches the quality. Overall, it slices meat. I have used it to slice 40lbs of bacon and several beef roasts without much issue. If you have a small slicing job though, and aren't concerned about super uniform thickness, don't bother taking this off the shelf. You'll spend more time cleaning than you will slicing. There are other meat slicers for half the cost of this unit that would have likely done just as well. So besides the additional blade, I'm not sure if the added price is fully justified. The only other value it might have is longevity. However, by the time that is determined, it will be well past the 30 day return window. at this point, it has done what it is advertised to do. I'm just a bit underwhelmed based on what I paid and if it truly is better than a slicer at half the cost.
