Great product for Hot pot - cutting lamb in thin slices 👍! It can cut very thin like restaurant. Easy, safe and quick. My suggestion is that you better put a bigger pan underneath in case the lamb melts. I think the lamb you take out from freezer it’s too hard to cut and also can not be too soft either. I’m fairly impressed with the quality and functionality. I wasn’t expecting a lot for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. Built well, easy to use, does the job! Makes slicing jerky approximately 342% easier. Cleanup is easy; not sure what other reviews were complaint about. Blade comes off easily and the rest just wipes down with some cleaner spray. Takes 30 seconds. Only minor complaints which I deducted a star for. The thickness gauge is useless. There’s a lot of backlash and the marks are not repeatable. I suggest using a tape measure to set the thickness. Second, the travel on the tray (IE size of object that can be cut) is limited to about 6-7”. I was not able to cut a full London broil lengthwise and had to cut it in half to slice it. Lastly, the mfg should really offer replacement blades on Amazon. I can see that the blade will be impossible to sharpen and I would have just bought another one from the start if they were available. That being said, the blade is good quality and practically speaking, it will be a long time before it needs replacing. ... show more

    • Well Worthwhile Household Appliance
I was torn between giving this a 5 or a 4 star review. But since they made no statement of being a professional grade slicer, this appliance, in a price to performance analysis, clearly deserves a 5 star review. It's not a professional slicer. Yet for home usage, it performs above others I have used in my 67 years. So far, I've used it to cut charcuterie of meats & cheese, plus artisan breads. Meats and cheeses it did effortlessly, and the quality of the cut was much the same as in any butcher shop. The harder crusts of some drier bread did slow the blade down slightly. But here too, a clean cut. Size of bread loaf could become a problem for some 1lb (plus) round loaves. But, half pound round and oval 1lb are not a problem. So, it really comes down to what you want to use it for. If you want to use it for butchering (and cutting bones) it would be better to go with a 5x to 10x more expensive professional grade cutter. If you want to have it for home usage, it's spot on, and at a good price for the quality and performance it delivers. ... show more

    • Decent for the price
First off, the price is very low and it works. If you’re like me and just looking for the cheapest way to make roast beef, this will do the job. The other good thing I can say about it is more of it is metal than you might expect. The base is pretty solid. However, the part that holds the blade is plastic and the build quality seems suspect. But the rap reason for knocking off stars is because this thing is designed to be impossible to clean. I wish I could take the movable parts off. But meat gets in to every crevice and there’s not really anything you can do but bust out a screw driver she start dissembling it. Pretty frustrating and I think warrants knocking off some stars. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Does it cut food? Somewhat. This meat is room temperature ham, which you’d think of as pretty soft. This cutter struggled to cut that. That’s not surprising, considering the blade had enough of a bend to notice when wiping it down and the motor sounds like they tried to gear up a dollar store one. The gears are plastic. This unit was missing a suction cup foot, which might have helped some with it not moving so much. The thickness adjustment moved both the adjustment knob and the dial to read it on, not that it made much difference. These slices were on “0”. The only parts that could be removed for cleaning, without enough disassembly to void any warranty, are the blade and the piece that holds the meat against the tray. The blade brings a gear and some additional plastic with it, unless you’re willing to unscrew the three screw’s every time you use it. Not only are there 2 surfaces touching the food while you cut, that can only be ‘wiped down clean’, the food falls onto the shell of the machine beside the dial, so if you want to try this machine wipe that down too, or have your assistant hold the plate up to there since you will need one anyway. ... show more

This is a great gadget to have at the house. My husband takes lunch with him to work so he doesn't have to eat road food. We buy a ham, turkey, blocks of cheese 2x a month and use the Deli slicer to make lunch meat for him to have sandwiches. The slicer has saved us money at the grocery store and he gets healthier lunches. Win win. ... show more
