Ok, first off, I want to say that Oster is a brand name that I have trusted, so when my hamiliton beach breadmaker died after a year I began searching. The Hamiliton Beach one had (just a year) a defect in it and you could buy the part and spend $50.00 or a new breadmaker. Seemed the issue I was having others were having. Not wanting to have the same issue I found the Oster one, it had on it a fruit and nut dispenser on it. I thought ok, I will try it. Well after a month of using this I had to go back. First, this is a noisy machine, I mean noisy. Shakes, rattles, clunks and clicks. The fruit and nut dispenser opens prematurely we discovered after a while and then would not close, which caused moisture and heat to escape the machine making your baked items turn out not right. For one, we tried each color setting, the first loaf came out off white but the bread was done. We put the color setting on medium, and it was just a little darker, and on the dark setting, it was a light brown. The loafs were small, but cooked. We tried the pound cake setting and when the machine said it was done, the middle still was not cooked and we had to put it in the oven for a while. After a month enough was enough and I asked for a refund. I blame these issues on the fruit and nut dispenser, so I do not recommend this Oster Bread Machine. BUT what I did do, is to order another Oster bread machine, when I got my refund, but this time without the fruit and nut dispenser. Well, so far on my new machine, we have made 2 loves with no problems, it is a much quieter machine, the machine will beep when its time to add something. We have not tried any other options as of yet, but plan to. So in closing, I would look at the bread machines without the fruit and nut dispensers. ... show more

    • Bread doesn’t rise, very dense
I wish I would have saved packaging so I could return this. I have made several loaves , following instructions carefully, then modifying based on tips I have researched. Still, bread is always too dense to be useful for sandwiches and such. It never rises to the size it should. Loaves that should render 8 slices gets 4-6. With each loaf I attempt, the results get worse . I thought it was my errors but now I’m certain this bread machine is garbage. ... show more

    • Returned Twice
Unfortunately this is my second one that I have to return. The first one stopped working after 3 weeks and the nut/dried fruit compartment on the second one does not fit in correctly.

    • Like - Easy - Convenient - Highly Recommend
This is the modern version of Amazon's Best Seller. Bread oven makes bread making in summer possible. Fast Bake/ Express Bake cycle makes 1 hour bread & multiple loaves in a day possible. This machine has other features like yogurt & cake making I haven't used yet. Great recipes for all features.

    • Not working properly
The color of the loaf doesn’t work no matter what level you put it. It is a a noisy machine it is the first time that I had to return a product to Oster. Very disappointed.

The directions are great and easy to follow. My bread turned out wonderful! The times that it states a loaf of bread will take is very accurate. I would recommend this machine to anyone looking to make good bread.
