I have been using this dehydrator almost nonstop for two weeks. I’ve done many batches of jerky all kinds of different fruit, pineapple bananas, cherries, strawberries it just is an awesome dehydrator! The recipe book has some really great ideas for different things in it as well. Do not hesitate to spend the money on this quality dehydrator. You can get some that are cheaper but honestly I think you get what you paid for. The controls are very simple you shut the time. Can you shut the temperature and then walk away I have experimented with both time and temperature and the thickness that I cut everything just to try to get that sweet spot ... show more

Similar to Magic Mill and Cosori, but more compact and easier to move around. Grids are 11.75 x 11.75. Works quietly and efficiently. Mesh Screen Dehydrator Sheets (which had to be trimmed to fit) & Edged Silicon Fruit Leather Dryer Mats of the proper size were purchased along with this unit, and they both work excellently in this unit. Easy to operate and clean. So far I have made tomato leather, squash chips, several vegetable powders, and dehydrated numerous herbs. First unit shipped to me arrived damaged in transit, but was replaced by Amazon in 48 hours. ... show more

I had my doubts when I ordered this. But when I used it those doubts evaporated (dehydrated??). Has good temperature and time control, heats quickly. I had a cheap dehydrator years ago (plastic circular) that just didn't work so I researched better units, was about to drop some serious $$$ on one then I spotted this and I'm glad I did. You can make all sorts of goodies with this for you or your pets. I used the recipe book and made delicious cookies. They didn't last long. This dehydrator is a very basic, easy to operate machine which gets the job done.

My dehydrator faulted out and I contacted the company in the manual.After a few emails back and forth, they were kind enough to give me another one since it was under the warranty. The dehydrator worked really well and was back up with great support.

    • It's ok for begginners.
Considering all the competitors outside this is a good beginner dehydrator but if you are planning to have a long term machine and good capacity then this is not the correct machine. First it gets extremely hot, brand's like excalibur you pay more but it never gets hot and dangerous for kids around the house. The noise level is the same that others I've tried. Is extremely light because of the plastic components but all dehydrators are made to be light. I prefer to spent extra money on polycarbonate trays with bpa inserts that won't stick your food. This stainless steel took me lots of time removing the fruits out of the stainless steel trays and then is hard to find good quiality inserts that are safe. Also the capacity is not as big as I thought and you will fill it very fast which means you will be using it more often than if you get a bigger capacity. I'm returning. Do your research and depending on your needs you can pick. ... show more
