I purchased these lights to guide guests on our driveway and light stone pathways in our yard. I was looking for lights that were easy to install, directed the light downward, and were height adjustable. These lights matched these requirements perfectly. I have purchased three boxes of them over the past 18 months. None have failed to charge during the day since they were installed. The tube post they sit on is easily cut to the height I needed. The downward light spreads on the ground nicely, probably a four-foot circle of light. I staggered them on the walkways from side to side every six feet and they work and look very nice. They have plenty of staying power and stay lit all night. These light are a good choice. These lights come with a USB charging cable allowing a full charge from the minute you install them. However, once they are installed the sun is all you will need. The single issue I have had with several of the lights, is the protective film that covers the solar panel has peeled up on several lights. The only negative aspect to these lights is that the posts are completely plastic. The ground needs to be pretty wet to put them in the ground without breaking the posts. If they had some sort of metal/steel base, they would earn a five star review. They charge well and last all night. The only time they haven't remained on all night was when they could not be fully charged due to rainy, overcast days. Three of the four lights can be synced to change color together, but the fourth one will not operate at the same time, so I set them to all stay one color instead. The angled solar panels are superior for two reasons - rain cleans them better, and the angle lets us aim the panels closer to the actual sun angle for more power collection during the three lower sun seasons. Having said this, note that the use of six LEDs instead of one brighter one means these lights will not stay on as long. The angled panel helps though. At this time I can't say how long they run with good summer sun but I am reliable for posting updates to my reviews. There are two sets of 6 LEDs for bright and soft light, they operate separately depending on switch setting. The longer posts let you collect more sunlight and aim the light at a landscaping feature or a garden decoration like my stone Buddha. Note I will not buy any light that is sealed shut - these have screws for accessing the battery when it wears out. We should not buy things with batteries sealed inside because they need to be recycled properly at end of life. One of my 4 lights had air gaps/bubbles around the edges of the laminated solar panel as though it was not fully compressed to seal, so I added clear silicone glue around the edge of that panel. Pretty sure that would fail prematurely with water intrusion due to the poor seal. ... show more

To be fully transparent, lighting is one of my biggest focuses for both home and auto (and has been for years), so if I can hand out a 5 star review, it means they were worthy of it. They're the perfect brightness, they charge well and last well into the morning. I've been a solar system owner on my home for years now so I appreciate a good quality solar product. Very easy to assemble and I used the tilting head you use to mount them to something in my garden so I can adjust the direction for holidays and things of that nature. I bought 16 of these and 1 was defective. One quick email to their support team and a new one was on the way next day. I will say this, if you're looking for crisp, clean, vibrant WHITE light do NOT get the color changing option. Because these are RGB capable, the white still gives off an iridescent rainbow color that my family loves, but I wasn't a huge fan of initially. However I can live with a little touch of rainbow-esq color in the lighting because the ability to change colors for holidays and awareness months is a game changer! Pics attached.... as you'll see once you try them, night mode on photos or just cameras in general will pick up more of the rainbow color than the naked eye. Install them and then step away to see a crisp clean light surrounding your property (but yes, again, it will have a hint of color as you get closer). Enjoy! ... show more

The lights do not provide a solid beam like what the description says, but rather a distorted diamond shape of unfocused light. Therefore, they do not offer a safe light for the walk up to the front steps.
