I installed four lights at my house and wanted to review the product. The quality and appearance are excellent, but some minor electrical issues should be addressed by the manufacturer. For example, the white (neutral) wire connecting to the mains was about 22 ga with thin insulation, and the black wire (hot) was far thicker 18 ga with thick insulation. The thin wire would be difficult to connect to a solid wire with a wire nut. I enclosed a picture of the thin wire. Another issue was that several screw posts in the glass lamp cover had come out. I was lucky to find them at the bottom of the box. I enclosed a picture of the screws. I converted mine to direct and eliminated the daylight switch. This turned out to be tricky, and I would not recommend this lamp for a direct application. I enclosed a picture of this result. In the process, I saw the crimped wires connecting to screw terminals on the ceramic bulb socket. Very professional, and I enclosed a picture of the crimped wires. I was also impressed with the crimps on the back of the light. Super watertight. ... show more

Kind of lame that I'd have to return the whole set just for a missing screw! The glass is still in place, but not 100% sturdy and moves if touched or windy.

I just installed two of these on my house and I'm pretty happy overall. The lights are sturdy and good looking. The installation was quick and easy even for someone like me who isn't very comfortable with most home improvement type work. But after watching a couple YouTube videos, I felt I could get the job done. One thing I wanted to note were a couple reviews stating that Edison E26 bulbs won't fit in these lights. This isn't 100% correct. E26 refers to the base of the bulb. The part you screw in. And this does work with these lights. Edison is simply a style (think filament) so there's no defined size to the bulb itself. I assume the complaints are about the specific bulbs the reviewers bought that are most likely too long to fit within the glass enclosure of these lights. I purchased some Ascher Vintage LED Edison Bulbs here on Amazon which measure about 5.3 inches long and work fine. But without knowing that I can see how it would be easy to purchase a bulb that is too long. It might be worth first checking the dimensions of the bulb you want to use or buying locally for easy returns. ... show more

This is the second set of lights that I have purchased to finish updating my outdoor lighting project. I broke one of the glass globes taking it out of the box. I then contacted the seller for information on how to get a replacement. They wrote back within 24 hours and had a replacement shipped to me within 48 hours. Top notch communication and service. The fixtures were easy to install and hang level. I appreciate the large nuts to secure the fixture to the plate and to secure the glass globe to the fixture for my aging hands. The light fixtures are not flimsy, but solidly built square tubing in a black finish. I do hope Osimir adds to their choices of indoor light fixtures because I will be updating my bath and hallway lighting in the near future. ... show more

These lights are very straight forward to install and look much, much better than the antique style lanterns they replaced that were venetian bronze and rusted beyond belief. I also like that these are truly black and not just a darker, aged bronze finish. Time will tell how the black finish holds up over time. The other reason I chose these was that the glass was fully enclosed on the bottom. Living in a wooded area I wanted something that would stay clean longer and keep bugs and spiders out of the glass. One thing to note - although the glass is not open at the bottom, there is a gap all around the top where the glass just hangs by 4 bolts protruding through the sides. The glass also wiggles a bit and is not very secure due to this design. So, I put some 1/8" HVAC insulation tape around the outer top edges of the glass to tighten up the gap a bit so there is no more play. After doing this I contacted the company (via their email I found on their facebook page) to see if there was a reason it was not completely sealed at the top, like for heat dissipation. Surprisingly, their support emailed back promptly with photos of lab tests they performed of fully sealed units with different bulbs. Bottom line is if you use an LED bulb >9w that is rated for fully enclosed fixtures then it is fine to seal that top gap. Anything of a higher wattage or any halogen would in fact cause excessive temps if sealing the top rim of the glass. I've been using mine with the top of the glass sealed for over a month now with no issues at all. I used the Luxrite 9w dusk-to-dawn bulbs here on Amazon that are rated for fully enclosed fixtures and would highly recommend them as well. ... show more
