I am 3 weeks post-op from my surgery. The binder the hospital supplies cannot be properly put on by yourself and I have a lot of strength. The post-op pain and doctors orders, prevents you from being able to put the strain on your abs that's needed to put on the hospital dispensed binder. I actually had to have my girlfriend next door help me when my husband was at work. The ORTONYX Breathable 9.5" Abdominal Binder was my answer . I love it because it's 9.5 inches tall instead of the hospital binder which is 11.5. The ORTONYX Breathable 9.5" Abdominal Binder doesn't roll or bunch up. The adjustable bands make it so easy to tighten or loosen the tension without having to remove the entire garment. Also, you can place the adjustable bands wherever you need additional support. For myself, this binder has definitely made my recovery process quicker and less painful.

I have a ventral hernia on my right side. I have already had this repaired once, and have currently chosen to live with it. I get new binders almost monthly. This is one of the strongest I have come across and it has continued holding my hernia better than any others I've had. Only issue is that it's difficult to put on because the Velcro is so tight, the teeth grab and it often needs to be repositioned and smoothed out. I would not change the design at all though, this is just something I deal with in putting it on, but because it grabs so much, it also gives an excellent amount of support and pain relief! Also, it does run a little small. I wish it were about 1-2" larger. Highly recommended.

This is a very useful and well made product. The first one that I bought was too small. The next size was better and works but it runs small also. Recommend buying a size 2 sizes larger than what you would otherwise.

I purchased this binder to use after my tummy tuck. I was fed up with the one they sent me home in which was just not comfortable and flawed in so many ways. This binder is truly an upgrade. It is made with quality materials and so comfortable. I feel supported. I love that I can adjust the amount of compression with the two side panels. 5 stars

I'm using this garment for an abdominal hernia. It gives me the support, but it sits too high on my chest and can be uncomfortable at times. It breaths in the warm weather, but wears warm!

The product description states that there are either plastic or metal "stays" to prevent the belt from folding in on itself while sitting. My XL unit had neither. I didn't bother to try it on as previous hernia belts bent and eventually became uncomfortable to wear. Was returned.

I had a duel hysterectomy and triple hernia repair surgery at the same time. This girdle was a lifesaver and offered so much support - so much more than what was give to me by the hospital. I felt so secure and supported when I put it on in the morning and wore all day (10+ hours). I even orderes a second one to rotate. Yes it is stiff, but that’s the point. It does ride up sometimes, but easy to pull down. I also liked that I could shove ice packs where I needed and they’d stay in place. Only con is that the Velcro fabric started to pill. 100% recommend.
