  • Gets the job done
Used this for my Ujoints, on my rusted work truck. The tool worked great seems like good quality time will tell but overall I’m happy with my purchase.

  • good tool for the money
Tool works well for a couple of bushings I was trying to remove. Plastic storage case is weak, but overall good for the money.

  • Good starter set, will do.....
First off its a basic set, its sturdy, its inexpensive, and it works fine, but you will need to fabricate or buy more adapters. It absolutely will NOT press out factory installed lower ball joints on a Durango/Dakota. Its not strong enough, I bent it trying. It did press the new ones in though, after putting the ball joints in the freezer, heating the hole in the A-arm, and applying anti-seize, otherwise it won't do it, the threads on the drive screw are too coarse and they bind easily. Applying some lubricant or anti seize to the threads helped. I would spend a few more dollars and get a better set with more adapters. ... show more

  • Incredible quality
It was my first time ever replacing a ball joint. This kit was easy to use and good quality. The affordability is unmatched. I definitely recommend this product.

  • HEAVY-DUTY & WORKS GREAT
Color: white C-frame
I used this to remove a u-joint on a 2001 Chevy S10 rear drive shaft. Works like it should and the unit is heavy-duty!

  • Trial and Error
The first ball joint was hard to press out of the lower control arm. Then it was a challenge to get the new ball joint pressed back into the same hole. Then when I did the other side it was a breeze to take off and put back on. But I did have to remove the ball bearing that was underneath the small shaft that sits inside the large screw. Because that made the one piece bend and I had to force it back into shape again. ... show more

  • Worked good at first
Broke after second time of using it. Worked good for the first set of ball joints I did

  • Solid Unit, Great Value
Rarely do I write reviews, but this ball joint removal/installation kit was everything I needed. I just finished using it to install upper ball joints on my 2003 2500HD, over 350,000 miles on it and the first time they had been out. I thought they would be tough to remove, but this unit popped them right out. As with anything, preparation is key, I put anti-seize on the threads of the press to minimize friction and galling of unit. I sprayed the ball joints down with penetrating oil and tapped around the outside of the ball joint. Then I made sure I had everything aligned so the force being applied was pressing in an absolute straight line, this is critical. Once this was complete I used a wrench to crank it down, thinking I would need my impact, but I was able to press it out using only the wrench. Install of the new bearing went just as easily, I am frugal, I checked RockAuto, Harbor Freight, no one had a better price. This has plenty of adapters for multiple size applications and was more than adequate for my truck. ... show more
