I bought this to help a good friend of mine replace a few universal joints on his truck. This made the removal of the original joints and installation of the new joints easy. One thing I would caution a user on is that this tool is strong and if you have one of the C-retaining clips in and are pressing in the far side cup you can actually break the C clip seat. I will be using this tool to replace some ball joints on my truck and I'm expecting that to go smoothly as did the universal joints.     • Got the job done, but "cap" caved in
The shallowest "Cup" caved-in some after installing just two ball joints. Not sure how much longer it will last. However, the kit got the job done to remove and replace two lower ball joints. It was not needed on the uppers. I will also be using it on u-joints soon, that cap won't be needed.

Had all the parts i needed i did 6 ball joints not all where the same size and it pressed them out and pressed new ones in so easy the set up is great and it has alot of weight to it which is good because there is no bending to it when you have to really torque it down. Definitely better then the $150 dollar kit i rented last year. ... show more

    • heavy and well built.
Very heavy duty. I was removing u-joints on a 3/4 ton truck. The kit could use an adaptor to sit on the yolk better than just the clamp. I got it to work but this addition would have helped a lot.

The media could not be loaded. Just like that the shipping packing, something went wrong. Tool itself is great.

    • Made of all steel parts
This is the only one I could find that the whole kit is made of steel. I ordered a different one before this one but it was made of aluminum. I changed one ball joint and had to throw it away. This one will last a long time.
