When I started to run out of hope getting my very old stuck crank pulley out I tried this as my last hope. The way the tool works is it goes in between the openings of the pulley and grabs the back of it, it uses a rod that presses against the bolt opening to essentially push it out by tightening the included bolt against it. After, I got the crank bolt out i realized the pulley was stuck when i couldnt pull it out by hand, i tried prying it out with a giant pry bar no luck, tried to lightly tap it out with hammer no luck, and finally this was my last hope. The big box stores didnt gave a tool like this for rent weirdly enough so I was a bit skeptical, but once I got this tool on and hit the included bolt with my impact wrench it immediately started pulling the pulley out, I was blown away! To make the tool work better use one of the rods long enough for your usage and hold the claws in place with your free hand or I seen people use rubberbands, zip ties online to hold it and I hit the impact in short bursts to avoid damaging the area the bolt threads into. Finally got the crank out with this tool and it held up great! If you take care of ur tools they will take care of you. Highly recommend!

This worked great for my 2013 Ram 1500. It was a tight fit getting it on, but once I got it seated it pulled with no issue! Great value for the price and it is built very sturdy. It didn’t slip at all!

Too small for 3.0 ecoboost engine. Motor Shares parts with 2.7 and 3.5.. I expect it to not fit with those as well. My loss$$$ your gain. Part seems of quality but ended up at harbor freight.

The media could not be loaded. Unable to use after one use. Rod seized in threaded bolt. Ball bearings popped out when installing pins to hold jaws in place so arms fall off when trying to use. I’m a professional mechanic at a dealership and thought I’d save some money but in the end I’ll have to buy another one of better quality. I had a lisle brand that lasted 10 years and finally broke so I thought this would be similar quality but I was wrong. I’m just outside the 30 day window for return because I don’t use this tool very often. I didn’t even use an impact on it and it still is junk. I can’t speak in customer service so hopefully I’ll be offered a replacement at least. Update: Contacted manufacturer and they sent me another replacement right away. Very quick response. Hopefully this tool lasts this time.
