Very hard starting, barely would run/ lot of blue smoke coming from exhaust on $4000 Toro Zero Turn lawnmower called for appointment & was 2 weeks wait and frightful estimate. Decided I should do basic troubleshooting myself… starting with compression test. Ordered this compression meter from Amazon/ got in 2 days. Found one spark plug not tight. Ran much better, but still lot of blue smoke. Suspected fuel, poured in glass easy to see I had mix up 5gal fuel cans and had use the one for 2-cycle chainsaw which had oil mix! ... show more

Excellent kit and equally wonderful seller. Kit I was sent had been used, but seller was super fast in addressing my concerns. A must have for any garage. Allowed me to verify a used, 21 year old Yamaha 2 cycle outboard motor was rock solid. As a boat inspector and mechanic, this tool is a must have. Also, stick with Yamaha and Honda outboards.
