Received the press kit and set on shelf for a while. Used it on a 99 firebird lower ball joints. Removed lower control arms and did the work on a bench. Noticed the ball joints going in at an angle no matter how I set it up. Well the clamp itself was bent. Emailed company sent some pictures to them to get a replacement clamp. They immediately said they would send a replacement. Got the replacement in a couple of days and it was a whole new kit. Haven't used the replacement yet but did check the alignment right away and it looks good. If your tired of running back and forth to rent one this is your answer. I have been looking at other tools offered by omt and will definitely be buying other tools from them.

Edit: although this press did not work for me, OMT did offer me a full refund so I am pleased with their customer service. My original review is below. ---------------------------------------------------------- When I got this, I thought I was saving a bunch of money compared to the price of a similar set at my local harbor-themed tool store. What I got was several wasted hours and lots of frustration. I had to change lower ball joints on my 2005 Dodge Magnum (this set does not provide the proper collars for removing and reinstalling that ball joint BTW). After removing and pressing back in the first ball joint (I ended up needing to use my torch and a hammer to convince the first one to come out), I noticed that the clamp started to bend. By the time I got the second knuckle in the press, the clamp was so bent that I could not keep it on the knuckle in any position. I had to go buy another press kit from my local tool store to finish the job. The other brand's clamp was much thicker construction and held up well and is ready for the next job. Lesson learned - do not buy the cheapest option or it will end up costing you twice as much!

I bought this to remove truck brake anchor pins. After only 2 pins the frame has sprung, threads are shot. The threads were lubed each time I used it. Just buy an OTC and save the aggravation. Very poor metal . The company gave a full refund on this item.

I used this to remove and install new universal joints in my 2003 F150 with no issue. The build quality seemed sturdy enough. So I popped out the u-joints with my impact with no problem. No metal flex in the clamp frame or anything and these joints were pretty ragged. A few weeks later I used this on the upper and lower ball joints with no issues as well. Plus for the price, this more than paid for itself.

Instructions were helpful, but you must kinda know what your trying to do with this tool. I initially bought on from the Zone for let just say not quite 4X the price. I returned it and kept this. Some jobs would never be done without one of these. Great value for money, no complaints.

It bent after the first use, barely got the second one in. It will not even fit back in the blow molded case. I used it correctly, whacked the spindle every couple turns, even getting the correct extra kit for my application. This is basically a disposable one-use unit unless used on light applications, jeep ball joints are too much for it.
