My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, as you can see from the before photo, and in the past I have used the regular version of this brand's relaxer on much longer hair with complete success! Recently, I used straightening irons for the first time on a brand new bob haircut to see how it would look. I loved it so much I decided to use the permanent chemical relaxer I knew worked. Decided to try the extra strength and was not disappointed! Left it on for about half the time it took the regular, which was convenient. My hair is bleached on the top, (quite some time ago... I would NOT recommend anyone do this treatment on freshly bleached or coloured hair), so I was EXTREMELY careful and left the conditioner on for more than double the recommended time as well as using my normal conditioner afterwards, also for double the usual time. The product succeeded in making the very top of my head straight-haired, but the ends remained extremely curly and unruly. The product was applied very carefully and thoroughly to all of my head, according to the directions, and it still overall did not work.

    • My all-time fave hair relaxer!
My all-time favorite hair relaxer. Normally, I prefer extra strength for my coarse hair. I will buy normal version too if the extra strength is out of stock. I highly recommend this hair relaxer. This hair relaxer includes latex gloves too. I've used this hair relaxer for the last 15 years.
