  • One great wand for all your watering needs
Pattern Name: Multi-Pattern Turret Style: Front Trigger
if you have a garden, a dog, a car, a patio or windows and you haven't purchased this SunMate yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?????? This thing makes quick work of all your watering chores. It is incredibly well made, doesn't leak and offers not only nine difference spray head choices, but also has flow control built in. Its like a group of water engineers got together and said.... lets think of everything we might ever want to do with a garden hose (get your mind out of the gutter) and lets put all that in one wand so folks have no need to ever change watering heads. I can (and do) water plants on a deck (I have a full vegetable garden on our deck here), and then turn the wand towards some raised beds farther away. A simple turn of the front ring and I have a more powerful spray that can reach the 20 or so feet away I need it to reach. Twist the front ring again and you've got a nice flat spray perfect for washing the car or even rinsing soap off from windows. Dog rolled in the mud? No problem.... depending on the degree of mud, the flood, jet or shower modes come in real handy. I need to call the company because the product page states that this is for cold water only and I have hot and cold running water outside and prefer to warm the water slightly before washing the dogs. I need to find out what the risks are. The design of this is super comfortable. You can squeeze the handle to turn the water on (providing you have the spigot turned on of course (but you knew that, right?) and in the handle is another ratcheting button that enables you to keep the sprayer on in varying degrees of intensity so you don't have to keep squeezing the handle if you have a long watering job ahead of you. Seriously there is only one thing that would make me love this wand even more.... if they built in an attachment for your liquid fertilizer. I keep my liquid fertilizer attached at the spigot but it means unless i keep running back to the spigot I have to apply the same about and type of fertilizer to everything I water. A simple attachment to this wand would mean easy on and off. I hope the folks at orbit read this. I'd be happy to be a product tester. BOTTOM LINE: This is a well constructed wand. There are many imitators but this one is the real deal. For my money this is the best wand on the market. ... show more

  • Watering your garden made oh-so-EASY!
Pattern Name: Multi-Pattern Turret Style: Front Trigger
My old garden hose wand was leaking. The little ring to keep it on without constant pressure was broken. The setting for "spray" (which I use the most) refused to work, so I was forced to resort to other settings, set halfway on. NO WAY TO WATER A GARDEN EFFICIENTLY! Plus, I got all wet from the errant sprays. So I ordered this Orbit SunMate turrent wand. They sent me a red one, but it could have been green, purple or blue as well. It's metal, not plastic. It has a push-in, push-out lock on the trigger instead of the unreliable metal ring, so you don't have to continuously push the trigger. There are 9 useful spray patterns from which to choose--jet, mist, flood, flat, angle, shower, fan, and cone. Being able to change easily from one spray pattern to another allowed me to cover each irregular area of my garden very efficiently. The rotating head snapped cleanly from one setting to another. The trigger area was easy for me to hold. If I wanted to, I could have used the foam-clad area further up on the wand to hold it. I could hardly wait to finish my watering chores and run inside to review this wonderful product! ... show more

  • Good quality, comfortable product with plenty of options.
Pattern Name: Multi-Pattern Turret Style: Front Trigger
It works the way it's supposed to. Good quality, plenty of sprayer options. The reason I like this type of wand is the on/off button - you can operate it single-handed and don't need to hold down a button in order to keep it on. I do prefer the longer wand versus this shorter version, but the neck on those spring leaks quicker and it appears most manufacturers are fazing them out. This wand is a little short for what I need it for. I like to be able to stand without stooping to water pots sitting on the ground. ... show more

  • Not Worth $35
Pattern Name: Multi-Pattern Turret Style: Front Trigger
This was a Christmas gift. Spray head came off of wand and won’t stay on after using past the 30 day deadline. Also note that you might not get the “blue” colored wand like pictured. Waste of money! I’m done with Orbit products after having issues with other hand held sprayers made by Orbit.

  • Great Orbit model still available!
Pattern Name: Multi-Pattern Turret Style: Front Trigger
I bought this same model several times through the years at Costco as part of a Orbit gardening kit but they disappeared after a time.. After years of daily use, they finally wore out and began leaking from points within the handles. I have tried several other brands, lengths, weights, and nozzle configurations without success. When I discovered this same original model was still being made and available on Amazon at a reasonable price, I ordered two. Both are working perfectly and are exactly like my old originals- other than being in bright colors now. I like the weight and balance of this wand and it has just the right length for me to reach my hanging baskets. The nozzle has the spray patterns that I like. Only con would be to lay the wand down gently or the spray you have selected may be jarred out of alignment and you will have to relock it. This used to happen on the original wands I bought years ago but I consider it a minor defect in the spray head. Glad this Orbit model is still available. ... show more

  • Will return this...
Pattern Name: Multi-Pattern Turret Style: Front Trigger
Very difficult to push the button to spray water, unless it’s in the locked position & fully on. Otherwise it hurts your finger keeping it pushed in. Also, it’s too short to reach my hanging baskets. I also have to bend down to fill up a watering can with this sprayer due to its short length. I liked my previous one from Lowe’s better. It had an adjustable spray head- from soft to fully on...will return this. You also have no choice of color. Mine came and it was bright purple! Not a fan. ... show more

  • Nice, but mine has some issues...
Pattern Name: Multi-Pattern Turret Style: Front Trigger
So, this is actually a nice product. It is comfortable to hold, it has a trigger lock so you dont have to hold down the trigger if you dont want to, and it has a ton of spray options. I would have rated it a 5, but 3 of my options dont work... water just trickles out of them. Not a big enough deal for me to send it back, but I like to get what I pay for ... show more
