I too had a pack of hockey stick shaped picks that I could no longer find on the shelf. There were some green ones that looked like them on Amazon, but had a month lead time. So I got these. After trying one I remembered that everything happens for a reason. These are what I always wished the old ones were, having a longer and thinner pick, they go all the way between my tight teeth and out the other side. Anything plastic can bend, but if lined up straight they push out any food. If it does bend, straighten it out. If you use the same one over and over like I do, one pick will last until you lose it. ... show more

These are more for single use. The tip is very thin which gets between teeth well but it bends after one use and is pliable. You can use them again, but know that the end will be flexible. The angle of the crook end is just right to get into those pockets between teeth near the gum. 3 stars because I would like the end to be a bit more rigid. It is hard to find any truly ergonomic and fully functional plastic picks that let us access side or rear teeth gaps. This lets you really get in there without shoving so much of your fingers in your mouth, less awkward and conspicuous to use with less drooling. What a shame these are not US made. The tips will mangle and bend permanently if you use too much pressure trying to rake out a stubborn meat scrap but I like them. 10 years ago a company in Washington State sold very good durable right angle picks made of tough nylon.
