I am unable to use regular floss because my teeth are tight and other floss gets stuck between my teeth and shreads. This floss never shreads or gets caught between my teeth. It is also required with regular floss to have enough slack so that one's fingers are able to hold the floss while flossing resulting in far more floss being wasted than what is actually used as well as having to wrap the floss around ones fingers cutting off blood circulation and sometimes cutting through the skin in order to have enough slack in order to prevent it from slipping. I hate using the traditional floss in the box because it’s messy and doesn’t rip easy. These work really great, there’s no struggle getting at all the spots in my mouth and the pick is nice for plaque or other tougher spots in the gums that won’t come out with just the floss. I have spent many a hot minute in the dentist’s chair. Had orthodontal work from 10 to 16, on top of consistent checkups and cleanings, so I have my fair share of experience with oral health. There are dentists out there that only believe in traditional flossing and will reprimanded you for not conforming to their ideals. I, myself, have run into them many times. My mouth is metaphorically big, but medically small and jam packed with larger than average teeth. This makes it very difficult to floss using traditional floss between my fingers. I’ve been using floss picks for my teeth for years now and no matter what dentists say about them, these have been doing the job excellently. Every time I go in, they praise my level of cleanliness. These flossers feature a tooth pick end for difficult spots and a small tongue scraper to remove gunk and grime from your tongue. The floss is strong enough to withstand even heavy flossing, yet gentile enough for sensitive gums. One flossing tool a day is all I need, making the bag of one hundred and fifty last me for about five months. The only thing I don’t like about them is how wasteful they are. The flossing picks themselves are made of non-recyclable plastic and therefore a terrible idea if you are a waste conscious individual. Humans need to floss between their teeth to remove tartar and plaque. It prevents nasty cavities between the teeth that can easily go unchecked, resulting in the need of a filling or root canal. Dental floss sucks, you have to use quite a bit of it for it be even usable because if you don't it starts slipping off your fingers if you already haven't lost circulation of your fingers at that point. These floss picks are great! They're small enough to fit in every nook and cranny of my mouth while still having the floss intact for more cleaning.
