Great product, arrived very quickly, assembled by one person although they recommend three, two would have been easier. I had limited space next to my Weider cage and this unit fit perfectly. A definite value for the money. I got a smith machine primarily for four exercises (squat, standing calf raises, overhead press, and incline press) but with the versatility of this machine there are lots of exercises that can be performed. Here are some things I noted: - assembled cross bar weight is ~18 lbs which is cumbersome when changing weights, they should have made this 25 lbs. So I attached 3.5 lbs of ankle weights to each side and made the overall weight 25 lbs. - the angle braces (parts 2 and 47) have an open hole which worked out perfectly for me to store an extra Olympic bar I have, plus this added weight to the unit to help it not move. - the assembly instruction manual has great drawings and clear directions. At the end of each step they say "Do not tighten the Locknuts yet." Wish they would have also said why, which is because once you get it all assembled you need to get the unit level, so get a magnetic level and check and adjust as you tighten to ensure you get the unit level. My garage floor has a small slope so I did have to use a few washers on one side to help. - I was worried that any small smith machine might be wobbly and or move during use, but this unit is solid and does not move during use. I have a 45 lb weight on each of storage tubes (part 27) for added help. - the bar carriage slides (part 38) do not bind and slide easily, make sure you get the correct one on each side.

This has been great. I purchased this, a set of free weights (45lb x2, 35lb x2, 25lb x2, etc...), and a dip rack. I wake up every weekday and get my workout in before I leave the house. One of the best investments I've ever made. Nothing beats having your own gym steps from your bedroom and not having a workout looming over you all day while you're exhausted at work. I get home from work and I'm free to do whatever I want now. This is a game changer, for a very reasonable price.

Here to give you all the details. The machine comes in 2 different boxes 1 is long and about 80 pounds and one is normal size and about 80 pounds. It was delivered right to my garage door where it was being assembled. The instructions are decent they are a little tricky at first. I was only missing one locknut which is easy to replace. You will only need one other person for attaching the top pull up bar. Otherwise I did everything by myself. The cables would probably be easier if you had 2nd person. The main tool that will help you is a socket wrench. Use that along with one of the wrenches they give you to tighten everything. Overall it took around 4-5 hours with breaks. The machine is great. The low cable only goes so high so delt raises are a little tough. Make sure on the base you have the foot plates face you. I think this machine was well worth it and it adds much more workouts to your routine. The assembly wasn’t too bad.

Myself and my two teenage boys are loving the rack and getting great use out of it. Is it as great as my buddy's $5k setup... No... this one has some wobble to it. BUT.... is this one sufficient and good enough for what it needs to do? ABSOLUTELY!! Honestly, as an engineer, I can tell you that I am not worried about some slight side-to-side wobble. The unit is designed to handle vertical loads, and it does that perfectly. All features, including the pulley system, work very well. At this price point, it meets and exceeds my expectations and is roughly the same cost (if not cheaper) than what I could find USED on Facebook Marketplace. SETUP/INSTALLATION: Easy enough for my teenagers to figure it out. They did have to dissessemble and reassemble one section, but I think that was their mistake. The metal beams will let you crush/deform them if you over-torque the bolts. So, just be careful there and you'll be good to go. This aspect is greatly improved if you pay careful attention to put the correct sized washer in the correct place per the instructions. Note to Vendor: I would suggest beefier washers to further eliminate this as a possibility. Lastly, just want to comment at how nice the red & black setup looks. We added the following items the compliement this color scheme: -Bench -Barbell -Black shoulder pad for the barbell (not pictured) -Rubberized Weights -Bowflex (red & black) dumbbells FYI: The overall setup was roughly $1200, but I feel this is a rather complete home gym now.

The smith machine is perfect! If tightened correctly, the gliding is smooth, and the machine is sturdy. Quick note, if the bar doesn’t glide up and down smoothly, or twist easily to latch into the holes, get yourself some WD-40 Solicone, and WD-40 white Lithium grease. It’ll work like magic. I’ve had this for about 6 months now. 1. When I first assembled it and tried my first set of squats, the whole thing slid backwards and I fell with the weights ontop of me, by a miracle I wasn’t injured but it put pressure on my back when I hit the floor. Keep in mind it’s light weight and unstable as is, so I had to come up with idea to connect it to the wall which took time. 2. The rack attachments things are not smooth, I have to wd40 almost every use because it’s plastic against metal, it’s hard to explain that but, just invest in something better quality being honest, I’m buying something else and wasted time/money.
