10/10, there’s no better pizza oven on the market. It’s a quality build a weight, but still portable if you’re looking to bring it on vacation. We’ve brought it to parties, and even packed it to bring to the mountains for Thanksgiving, and it traveled well then was a huge hit. Broke during first use

The first oven I bought came in with the broken stone so I returned and got second one. Second ooni came in with big dent on a side and broken stone. I returned it and got the third one. Third one came in with broken handle, a dent on a side. In addition to it the glass exploded during seasoning process. I am done with Ooni at this point. ... show more

Great oven. Totally worth the cost.

Amazing oven and well-worth the cost. Makes fantastic Neapolitan-style pizza with ease. The seasoning process of the oven is a bit stinky, but once completed it no longer smells. Insulation is fantastic considering how hot the oven gets. The exterior gets fairly warm, however you won’t burn yourself by touching it. Placing your hand or anything on it for extended periods not advised while in-use. Overall, I’m very happy with the oven. I did purchase an aftermarket stone made specifically for this oven from Fibrament (available on Amazon). The oem stone is fine, I just prefer the aftermarket because I’ve had good experiences with their products. ... show more

Great pizza oven

I'm from New York, so I'm particular about what makes a great pizza. I am thrilled with this machine. I will not say my pizzas are as good as the best ones I get in NYC, but they're damned good. They're better than nearly all my local pizza parlors too. Also, they're easy and fast to make, and I save a boatload of money. I tried making my own pizza dough and it's fine, but now I buy Whole Foods dough because it's consistently excellent. Using this dough along with quality mozzarella cheese and a good tomato sauce and these pizza are a fraction of the price, super convenient, and delicious. I hesitated since the damned machine is expensive, but considering the money I save on each pizza, this thing will pay for itself in 4 months. Add to this the benefits of not having to order, not waiting for the delivery or picking up, not paying for delivery & tip. In the end, I'm pleased it's paying for itself, but I would have gotten even if it didn't save so much money, as the convenience and pizza results are too good to miss. Yup. Ooni Volt 2 -Disappointing Direction

I own two Ooni Volt 12 ovens, and they’ve been excellent. Reliable, safe to work around, and honestly one of the best electric pizza ovens available. Because of that experience, I was excited to try the Volt 2. Unfortunately, it feels like a step backward. Instead of improving what made the original Volt great, this version seems designed to compete with other ovens already on the market. The Volt 12 felt overbuilt, safe to work around, and dependable a real workhorse. The Volt 2 feels different. Yes, the larger window is nice, but the exterior gets extremely hot. Touch the wrong spot and you’ll burn yourself. That’s a big departure from the original design, which felt much safer and more thoughtful. Another issue is heat retention. After making a few pizzas you’re realistically waiting two to three hours before the oven is cool enough to move. That limits how flexible it is in real-world use. The original Volt felt like a product designed by people who cared about durability and usability. This one feels like a redesign focused on production and competition instead of improving the experience. If you already own a Volt 12, you might actually prefer to keep it. And honestly, if someone out there has a Volt 12 and wants to trade for this Volt 2, I’d seriously consider it. ... show more

The quality is disappointing. The pizza stone is too thin and cracked after just one use, which is a major issue. I ended up replacing it with a thicker stone. Performance is also underwhelming—you can only make about 2–3 pizzas before the oven struggles to get back up to 800°F, which slows everything down. Overall, there’s nothing particularly special about this unit besides the price, and even that doesn’t justify the drawbacks. ... show more
