The Ooni Halo Pro is awesome. It is well engineered, very sturdily built and is easy to use and clean. My wife has been making lots of bread dough in it, including sourdough and regular yeast bread. The Ooni is 10x better than our old KitchenAid stand mixer. We looked at other spiral mixers but most had a non-removable bowl. This was a deal-breaker for us. The Ooni bowl comes off easily, but only when you want it to - unlike our KitchenAid where the bowl would pop off its mounting studs when mixing heavy doughs like dog treats. The Ooni bowl is dishwasher safe. I don't find it overly loud. It compares favorably with our old KitchenAid in noise level, I really like the LEDs that light up the mixing bowl so that you can see the mixing/kneading progress. The mixer timer is quite useful for multi-tasking around the kitchen and for consistent dough-making results. My wife changed the Ooni speed-control mode from Percent to RPM. Many of her professional recipes specify revolutions-per-minute for mixing/kneading. The Ooni has a powerful motor, so the designer's added a nice touch.: They added a cooling fan that runs for a minute or so after shutdown to cool the motor for better long-term reliability This is not a paid review. We paid full price for the Ooni.

I use this for everything—from sourdough and pizza dough to general baking and even homemade butter—and it handles it all like an absolute beast. It is worth every penny. What originally caught my eye was the inclusion of a breaker bar in such a compact design. This is a great mixer. I've had it since February 2026, and it's now May 2026. I don't use the paddle very often and have never used the whisk attachment. The Spiral is excellent! Good power, LOVE the timer function and speed variability is great. Easy to use for sure. It IS noisy, but certainly not ear splitting. The overall build quality is really solid and customer service is EXCELLENT. I've only had one problem and it was my fault, but they helped me out. Really appreciated the quick response time and the professionalism. GREAT company.

It’s more expensive but it’s elegant and sleek design easily allows it to be left on a countertop or in my pantry compared to similar mixers on the market. I’ve been making homemade pizzas for several months and wanted to save time and effort by no longer having to mix and knead the dough by hand. This mixer is very easy to use with controls consisting of two capacitive buttons to select between mix speed and mix time with a rotary dial to easily adjust the mixability and speed control settings as needed. I find the noise level to be relatively quite compared to my daughter’s KitchenAid and other portal mixers I’ve researched. I had to adjust my flower and hydration ratios compared to mixing by hand but the dough turns out perfect and consistent every time. Just a few folds after allowing the doing to rest for an hour or two then portion for proofing. NO more KNEADING! I’m now making pizza doing in 10-15 minutes instead of the 45 minutes to an hour+ (depending on hydration level) by making the dough by hand. I couldn’t be happier.

Boy, I’ve never done so much research & watched so many reviews as I did before pulling the trigger on such a high-cost home appliance. But I’m sure happy I DID decide on the Ooni! This thing is a monster—it can knead heavy/dense doughs without worrying about smoke coming off it like KitchenAids (& for those worried about how loud one mixer is vs. another: NONE allow for polite conversation while using them). IF your mixing needs are mostly for whisking? Stick to your KitchenAid—this whisk attachment is its only shortcoming, IMO. It’ll do the job, but nothing like a planetary with whisk. For everything else, this is as good as it gets at this top price range (for home bakers). The breaker bar is really something that sets this apart. I was amazed watching that device strengthen gluten before my eyes. That “pumpkin” effect when your dough’s come together is really something to behold. So easy to remove the dough from the bowl; so easy to add wet and dry ingredients through its two different accommodations on the slide-/snap-in lid. The lid is incredibly utilitarian, and everything SO easy to clean! I use mine for both multi-loaf sourdough and all other yeasted breads. I can’t speak to the paddle attachment because I haven’t needed it yet. But when I first used it, I got a charge seeing the LED lights pop on so you can see what’s happening inside! I’d completely forgotten it had top lights. Ha! Zero regrets.

I've been hand-mixing sourdough for a while and really wanted a standing mixer. Had a discussion with ChatGPT and decided on the Ooni Halo Pro even though the cost was higher than some other brands. Beautiful profile - sleek and well designed. Powerful, quiet motor that's fully adjustable to whatever speed needed for your recipe. Easy to use timer with auto shutoff. Works great. I love the choice of attachments - used the spiral for sourdough and the paddle for gluten free yeast bread. Game changer in the quality of my bread. So happy with the outcomes from the first bake onward. I usually make 4 loaves at a time but I think this can handle 6 with ease. Quick delivery. Be sure to season the bowl and attachments for non-stick excellence.

My husband surprised me with this mixer when my kitchenaid broke down after 10 years of consistent use. This OONI mixer is EVERYTHING I ever wanted in a mixer. I can EASILY mix dough for 4 loaves of bread and the bowl is even big enough to hold the dough for the RISE. I LOVE how the bowl spins while mixing. I LOVE how BIG the bowl is. I absolutely LOVE the Dough HOOK and how it has two attachments to keep your dough from climbing up the hook! (One of the BEST features!! I love the speed options. I love that there is a light attached to the mixer if I’m mixing my dough early in the morning. It’s decently quiet. I LOVE that I can ADD ingredients while everything is mixing. It’s simply therapeutic using it and makes me HAPPY every time!!!:)) Thank you, OONI for creating this AWESOME PRODUCT!! Highly recommend. If this machine lasts for 10 years- then it was CERTAINLY worth the investment!!

The OONI HALO is a dream machine! I have a mixer that can handle stiff dough and a lot of it! My older KitchenAid struggled with sourdough, bagels, and pizza. It would take me over 30 minutes in the KA. The OONI gives me perfectly kneaded dough -- silky and smooth in about 6 minutes! My KA "walked across the counter". The OONI stays put and works beautifully. It has the power that was missing. Worth the money.
