we just got a 2 year old golden retriever & he has seperation anxiety We tried this when we left for about 35-40 min he was in his crate & had 2 1/2 chews he whined & barked for about 10 min after that I checked my camera & he was laying down the rest of the time. Dog likes to take it. Had to give it to him about 20 minutes or so before he needed it. My Bichon was about 16 when I had to find something to calm him for traveling and grooming. It helped but didn't knock him out. I would say his anxiety would go from 10 to 6-8. Just depends on his day.
