This lights up the room pleasantly! Bright enough to see, but not overbearingly bright like a ceiling light. It's exactly the light level I wanted! It was super quick and easy to assemble, too! And it's a really cute light! I like that semi-industrial metallic aesthetic. The gold color is nice. And the shape is nice. It's incredibly bright head-on, though! Hard to look in its direction, and especially directly despite the metal grated lamp shade! I don't know what's up with that. Also, the lamp shade assembled slightly but noticeably crooked no matter what I did or how I tried to screw it on, seemed unavoidable. It doesn't look too bad so long as it's placed from a certain perspective, so I left it be. Aside from that, it's easy to drape a thin cloth over it if/when you want the light level a little lower. The room becomes very softly lit, but visibility is still good enough to maneuver and not trip over things. I do that when I'm awake but my partner is sleeping. ... show more

The lamp was delivered quickly and arrived in excellent packaging. It shines brightly and looks great on my desk, blending a retro aesthetic with a modern touch. The build quality feels solid and well-crafted. While the bulb base is standard, I'm uncertain about finding a replacement bulb of the same size when needed. My main issue with the lamp is its brightness style, which becomes bothersome when it's on. It's uncomfortable to have it within my peripheral vision as it strains my eyes. This isn't an inherent flaw of the lamp itself, but rather a drawback of Edison-style bulbs, which, despite their appealing look, are not ideal for my desk due to their transparent style. For those sensitive to certain types of light, I would advise against purchasing Edison bulbs. Additionally, I've noticed that the bulb tends to flicker a lot. ... show more
