A very nice set of service for six for everyday use. I appreciate the fact that it serves 6, so that I didn't have to buy two sets of service for 4. This set is unusual in a couple of other ways: (1) there are no cups or saucers included -- which I didn't want anyway -- and (2) the small plate is a darker shade of oatmeal (beige) than the large plate and bowl, although all of the colors are compatible. Overall, a nice set. The blues are nice colors. There does seem to be a small defect here and there in the glaze of the items. It's either a small knick or a small extra piece of pottery. This is a beautiful set to add as every day dinnerware or special occasions only. The set includes 6 each of large plates, smaller plates and bowls. The color is as shown and attractive. Mine are a lovely blue color with a gold trim accent. Kind of a rustic appearance. Although, my pics make them look different shades, they are not. This set is made of solid stoneware which does make them heavy. I'm use to Corelle so these are quite different. May not work well with small children. The finish is durable, glossy and helps prevent the surface from scratches. These can be microwaved and are dishwasher safe. One point I will stress is to handle and stack gently as they can be chipped. Overall, this brand is known for their kitchen ware and these do not disappoint, and price is on point. ... show more

I couldn’t be happier with this Oneida Organic Shades set. If you are looking for dinnerware that feels artisanal and high-end without the boutique price tag, this is it. It immediately reminded me of country stoneware. Design & Color: The "Oatmeal" color is the perfect warm neutral. It has a beautiful speckled finish and a soft, matte-like glaze that looks incredible under dining room lights. What I love most is the "organic" shape—the edges aren’t perfectly circular, which gives them a handcrafted, earthy feel. They look like something you’d find at a high-end pottery studio. Durability & Function: Despite the delicate look, these pieces have a nice weight to them and feel very sturdy. I’ve been using them daily for a few weeks now, and they hold up great in the dishwasher and microwave. I haven't noticed any scratch marks from silverware yet, which is usually my biggest concern with stoneware. The Set Layout: The 18-piece set is perfect for a service of six. The bowls are a great size—deep enough for a hearty soup or a large salad—and the plates have a slight lip that prevents sauces from sliding off. ... show more
