This twelve-piece set came in a huge box and was very heavy. To get to the dinnerware, you have to open four boxes, the Amazon shipping box, a double box from the manufacturer, then a smaller box containing the items. But all of this packing effort did a good job of protecting these heavy plates and dishes…even from a dented corner on the Amazon shipping box. The quality appears to be very good. I tried a sharp knife on the edge of one of the bowls to check for crazing. There was no scratching or marks on the bowl; the knife was not so lucky. The small bowl is REALLY deep. I'm not sure what I'll ever use it for (cobbler? 1000 calories of ice cream?, French onion soup?...) I was hoping that the bottom of the plates would be flat so that heat transfer from a heating mat would be faster. They are not. There were no photos on the product page. I do have one in my review.

I sent them a picture and asked them to replace the missing and chipped items. In response, they sent me another whole complete set! Amazing! I love the design and the colors of this dish ware. I saw them at a friend’s house and fell in love, so I decided to purchase them myself. Very sturdy and beautiful. My favorite is the salad bowl. I use this bowl the most when I eat.

So I ordered this set as it had great reviews and it came with salad/pasta bowls. One of the salad/pasta bowls came with a nice big chip in it. So I contacted the company via email. Their response although in German was quick. Lucky our phones now translate languages easily. I sent my order and picture of the broken bowl. And they just asked for my order number and I gave it to them. They asked if I wanted 15% off my order or a replacement. Silly me I assumed they just meant replacing the “one” bowl. So I said I really wanted just the one bowl replaced. They agreed, they were super nice and easy to work with and today I got my “one” replacement bowl with a whole 16 piece set. So now when my other dishes break because we all know stoneware always breaks I have enough dishes to replace half my dishes if they break. Now we’re to store them? I really only wanted the “one” bowl. Onto the dishes themself. They look way less gold in person, thank the heavens! I’m a simple woman and this was one of the few sets that came in brown. All I wanted were some simple brown dishes. And this and some really metallic shinny ones were my options. So I picked these. I like the rims of the plates so when the grandkids come and eat the food doesn’t come off their plate. We all know with kids that’s a problem. Then they came with salad/pasta bowls. That made me very happy. No I won’t used them for salad or pasta but they are nice sized shaped bowls. I mostly use them to eat leftovers in. They work beautifully. So far I have had them about a week and they are easy to wash (that shinny coat has a purpose). They hold up In the microwave well (I already said I eat leftovers). I don’t use a dishwasher, (you know that thing that never gets the dishes clean so you have to hand wash them anyway) so I can’t say they hold up well in the dishwasher or not. I like the dishes and since I have a whole other 16 piece set they will Probably last past 5 years (well if I’m nice to them). So ya I would buy these again in a heart beat. Now can you just have some simpler colors like plain brown you know the color of hot chocolate for the simple folk your selling to. Maybe take that slick easy to clean finish and make it so its not blinding me when the sun is out. More like a satin finish you know so they still clean easy. Thanks again

I’ve never in my life left an Amazon review but felt it necessary here — ordered 16 dishes total, and they came in one big box that contained 4 smaller boxes. 3 of those 4 boxes had dishes that were in perfect condition, as seen in the background, but the last contained a plate that was chipped and another that was literally shattered. I called their number and left a voicemail, fully expecting to not hear back, but the next day had a very lovely wonderful conversation with a Pure Living rep from Germany named Mandy. She was very helpful and sweet and gathered some info, and told me they would send me 2 replacement plates that would arrive within 5 business days (fingers crossed!)
