These are beautiful, and we loved them right out of the box. However, we have now officially lost 3 plates that split in half after washing in the dishwasher. We aren't sure what is happening. They are fun with the blue and gray dimple look for our beach cabin, but we're not sure we'll have any large plates left soon. Everything else seems to be holding up. Bought these before Christmas last year. Nearly half a year later and these are holding up well. They've seen tons of use including going through the dishwasher innumerable times. The plates stack well, resist chipping, and have remained as good looking as they day I unboxed them. They also resist scratches from steak knives and other metal utensils. They are heavy - which is a testament to their quality and durability, so that's not a downside. There was a small chip in a pasta bowl when the set arrived. I contacted customer service, provided my order number, and the replacement showed up a couple of days later. Excellent, no-hassle customer service OBTW, the dishes look great! Can’t recommend these folks enough

We just remodeled our kitchen and I wanted new dishes. I ordered this set because I liked the selection offered. There are 2 sizes of plates, perfect size pasta bowls and cereal bowls. They are quality dishes with beautiful saturated color. I like that it did not come with coffee mugs. I don't need any more mugs. When our package arrived we knew before opening it that there were broken pieces because when my husband picked the box up we could hear them rattling around. I called the 800 number on the insert and there was no answer. I realized it was in a different country. I emailed and they responded that same day. They asked for pictures and a list of broken items and as soon as I sent it in they responded and shipped replacements out. The replacement pieces came in 2 shipments and part of it came in 2 days. The 2nd box took a couple of days longer. This company has great customer service. I love my new dishes and so does my husband. They are a little heavy but I like the weight. They also fit well in my new dishwasher. That is always a plus. Customer service is in Ratzeburg, Germany so I think that's where they are made. ... show more
