I purchased two of these lights to provide additional lighting where using an electrical plug was not feasible. Originally I wanted to use the light while using the computer so I didn't have to turn on the overhead light. However, the lights are very versatile. Decided to use them as nightlights in the hallway and the bathroom. You can adjust the lighting brightness so they stayed on for at least 8 hours at the lowest brightness without losing power. I'm sure they could have stayed on for several more hours. Could also use them in a closet to provide additional lighting. Or you could just use them on the bedside table to read. The lights would also be good for travel. They fold down nicely to a small enough size. Just remember to put them in your carry on and not checked baggage because they contain a lithium battery. Liked them so much I ordered 2 more for a total of 4 lights. Money well spent. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely Love this light! I use it to give my Special Needs son pedicures to keep his feet healthy. I am able to put his light on his foot rest so I can see his toes better. There are 3 different light settings and the brightest one is perfect for what I need to do. Very easy to use and it extends so you can select the height and it folds up so you can put in a drawer or in a suitcase if you want to take it with you. Doesn’t get very hot that I have noticed. Very durable, only know this because I have dropped it a couple times and it still works. I do not recommend dropping it. Small and compact size I like the color Have not tried reading with it. I ordered this foldable lamp as a portable lighting option for working at various customer sites. I have a deep aversion to fluorescent lights, so I turn them off whenever possible. Standing fully extended on a desk, it illuminates objects within ~2 feet. Since I'm working on a laptop with a backlit keyboard it's adequate for my purposes. For reading or writing on dead tree material, the circle of useful light at full power is probably only truly useful within a foot or so. The battery starts to dim after a few hours of continuous use, so I keep the USB cable plugged into my laptop most of the time. I infrequently need a light on my desk for use of a solar-powered desktop calculator. I also need a way to light checks for phone-based bank deposits. Light to read fine print on...well lots of things. I have an overhead light that is less convenient, unnecessarily bright, and which results in shadows on the things I need to light. All little problems, and all solved with this handy little desk lamp. Easy touch switch for on/off or changing brightness. Easily recharged with the mini-USB port with a charging indicator light. Sleek contemporary style looks good on my desk. And no annoying power cord in the way and limiting where the lamp can be easily moved. When the room is especially dim, I can't see the on/off button, but that doesn't matter. Just slide a finger over the base near the button, and when you hit it, the light goes on. Position adjustments at the base, middle and top make it easy to position the light exactly where it's needed. Too much enthusiasm? It's just good to once in a while find something that does what it's supposed to do and is reasonably priced. This is one of those.
