I tried other foldable lights, but some were so poorly made that they got blistering hot (which means they used cheap LEDs), so had to return them. This one folds beautifully, LEDs get barely warm, doesn't feel like junk, looks great, and works perfectly. Just the right amount of light; easy to turn off/off with a tap, or hold the spot to make it dimmer or brighter. Seems to hold a charge for a long time. I take it on trips with me also. Has only 1 disadvantage: you can't use just any old USB to C cord to charge it; you must use the one that comes with it, which means you have to bring its little cord with you. I didn't want a little book light - I wanted something a little more substantial - this turned out to be the "right" one. It's very adjustable so I can aim the light right where I need it. It’s not terrible. It folds, it charges, it has two brightness settings, it’s a nice compact size, it’s light, and a decent battery life. But it’s not very bright, like at all. I got this to have a portable lamp for when I’m doing art and need an additional light source when I don’t have access to my corded lights (I am a commission artist). And it’s fine, but it doesn’t provide a neutral bright enough light. I wish there was three brightness settings and maybe that the light wasn’t as warm toned or there was different options for colors. So versatility isn’t great. However, if that’s what you’re looking for this is good for you. I bought another portable lamp off Amazon that is chargeable that is cheaper than this one that I like much better. It just doesn’t have the same battery life so I thought this one would be an upgrade. I think I will be sticking with the cheaper one. ... show more
