I soaked my window generously. I did my best to cut the film to the appropriate size needed. I followed the instructions to the letter. And after a few hours, or one day, parts of the film started to come away from the window. That means having to start the process all over again and have the same results. Considering the price, it’s worth it to go to a blind store and have a black rolling shade made up to the size of the window. And no matter how much I tried to place the window film properly, it was still light coming in from the sides because cutting it to the exact sides of the window was near impossible.

Ordered this privacy film for my front door as it had a large 28”x48” piece of glass and I didn’t want everyone walking up to be able to see into my home. Installation was pretty easy as I sprayed the glass real well with soapy water before putting the film on, therefore the adhesion was great. Privacy is good. At night with lights on you can see in the house faintly. I cut it about an 1” longer and wider than I needed as I thought that would be easier than cutting the long piece on the door. Used the enclosed squeeze to get all the air bubbles out. It was suppose to come with a utility knife to cut the edges. It did not do that is why I am giving it a 3 star.

Really need two people to install film especially if its a large window or door! Would suggest using a wider squeegee to make the job easier and a lot faster! Also, cut the film about an inch wider then the glass to be covered then cut to fit.

Clean window, use wet wash cloth on window then apply. You can lift and reapply. It comes with a knife and something to push out air bubbles. Only issues are removing the film backing is extremely hard, and overlapping doesn't seem to stay down on top of eachother. I'm not really good with cutting straight, so it went over top (still stuck on very well regardless). Highly recommend my husband says pitch black. Great price too
