I actually got this because someone recommended it for cleaning a home fermentation kit I got at the same time. I went to make some tea this morning and figured I should wash out the tea maker. It's an automatic tea pot with a descending basket so it has elements that are hard to clean and make it a pain to do. I figured I might as well try this stuff to clean it instead. I put it with hot water and swished it all around, then turned the tea maker on (this heats it and submerges the basket so I was using it to boil the components and clean it basically). It came out cleaner than I'd ever gotten it before, even with a good deal of scrubbing! That tint on the metal in places was finally gone (I had given up hope and was bummed it would never look as good again until this discovery) and I was incredibly impressed. I wish I had a before picture to offer but I didn't have the foresight, nor did I know how well it would work!! I have included the after picture though. It looks like new after years and years of use so yes, I definitely recommend whatever this magic is!! I'll likely buy a bigger size next time to save money since I expect to use this quite a bit. ... show more

Ordered 8oz tubs, and received 8oz pouches. I prefer tubs for storage, and had an empty one I could fill so not a huge deal. I’ve been making wines for 13 years, and have always used One Step as my cleaner / sanitizer. I’ve never experienced a failure due to unsanitary equipment. I recommend it highly!

First of all I have been making wine for more than ten years and this is my go to sanitizer. With that in mind, when I received the product there was tape on the lid, some product under the cap that came out when I opened it, and the container did not appear to be full. As a forensic engineer I immediately thought that all of these things pointed to someone skimming a bit out of the container for bulk sales or some other use. So I used my digital scales and measured the weight of the actual product and it came out to be 8.42 oz. This equates to about 5% MORE than advertised so despite initial appearances, I actually got a bit more than what I paid for. Because of other reviews I was a little worried that I would receive a knock-off product. Not so... One Step in a pouch in lieu of the plastic container is just fine with me. Item was received within a week of ordering. I give a perfect 5-Star review for the product and the seller.
