The 18-Volt ONE + 13 in. String Trimmer has a lightweight design making it portable and easy to use around your yard. With our auto-feed line head it will automatically advance the line whenever the trigger is released. This trimmer is also equipped with a variable speed trigger so you can have more control around fences, masonry, and other areas of your yard. Featuring a pivoting head, easily convert your string trimmer into an edger using the step to edge mechanism. The adjustable 11 in. to 13 in. cutting width allows you to optimize your trimmer for increased runtime or a wider cutting width. Good update from the old model. Comes with an edger attachment. Battery life seems a bit shorter so make sure you buy extra batteries. I use the generic batteries. Great value for the price.

I don't even know what to say. First time using it and the screw just kept coming loose. I tightened them again today on the second use of this machine and they just came out while working the machine. The hood and the center rod lose the screws and now it's completely unusable. I was skeptical about a battery powered yard tool, but it works great! Way easier than dealing with gas and oil. I only use it for the dog run, though.

Could be designed bette4 but it's good after you learn a few tricks . I prefer the precut string but the spools might meet your needs. As an edger it's crap. Buy the bladed Ryobi edger. It rocks! All are18 volt tools.

I was buying a replacement tool since I had a battery pack for my previous Ryobi string trimmer and edger, and this photo appeared very similar. What I got had no edger wheel, so you have to hold the tool steady with no support at all. And they changed the transition from trimmer to edger from a quick foot control to rotating the handle, held internally by a bungee. How long can that last, it's basically a rubber band? And, the instructions are to remove the battery pack when transitioning. Easy and convenient--NOPE. Really disappointed since I loved my old one. ... show more
