So the laser arrived non-functioning. After about a day of troubleshooting and double checking the setup I called customer service and reached a real person. They worked with me through emails, phone calls and video over a couple of days it was determined that I needed a new motherboard and it is being shipped. It is a sturdy and seems well-built. I understand the shipping of heavy sensitive equipment can be damaged in shipping. If it worked correctly out of yhe box I probably would have given 5 stars but now I am playing laser technician and waiting. I will update this review when the status changes. Well I received the new motherboard today and it was a pretty straight forward switch. And now it is working. I'm withholding my opinion of the machine for right now, but am bumping my rating to a 3 because of the good customer service. I have been using this laser for while and I am pretty happy with it, so I upgraded my rating to 5 stars.

Arrived with mold in the cooling tubes. Thankfully after mentioning my issue on Reddit, I was informed that I could resolve the issue by running a 1 to 5 vinegar water solution through the cooling system. From what I can tell, the mold has cleared and everything is okay. I still worry that the laser’s lifespan may be negatively affected by the issue and that the mold may return. The machine itself was very well packaged for shipping and worked out of the box. I didn’t need to adjust the mirrors at all and the work area, while small, is the perfect size for my use case.
