    • Best Shoe For Long Shifts Period!

Some of the only shoes i could find in my odd size, due to bunions and wide feet, a 14 4E (extea wide). Could still stand the toe box to be wider, but without going to straight iut orthopedic shoes, these are by far the best on the market ive tried. I spend 12 hr plus shifts on my feet the entire time, and these shoes have been life altering! No joke. Wide toe box, good arch support (though i dont have a particularly high arch, so take that with a bit of a grain of salt), super cloud-like cushioned sole (also makes me 2 inches taller, if height matters to you. They have a little weight to them (obviously in a 14 4E), but not problematic for me. Ill be completely honest--Only downsides i could possibly mention that you could find (though none of these points are bothersome enough to me) are: 1. The heel cup and entire shoe really, is rather shallow, so you can feel like youre lacking a bit of support (Ive found that simply lacing them reasonably snug is a fine workaround), 2. factory insole is pretty thin (easily replaced if an issue for you), and 3. the ankle does not feel super supportive at all, especially if you have some over pronation issues or joint pain. For me, the feeling of gliding on a forgiving cloud outweighs any shortcoming of this shoe. I own 2 pairs in the exact same color (due to freakish sizes not being prevalent even online), but the are the ONLY shoes i will wear to work to stand all day and night. Easily a 5 Star review, highly recommend!!! Also, i would call the fit true to size to ever so slightly bigger in the length measurement of the shoe size. Width measurements are true to size, and dont be afraid to try a wider size than normal...these shoes really let your feet have some comfortable breathing room while still feeling overall supportive (except that ankle issue i mentioned, but im not running in them so dont care), and not too heavy or feeling like they might slide off. A MUST BUY for shift work on yoyr feet all day!!! Calling all retail, medical, etc. fields...yiu will not regret this purchase. Better than Brooks and Hoka (and they dont make a 4E, if you need it, fyi). Wear them 5-6 days a week for 10-16 hrs at a time, and have had them for 6 months now. I have a pair of the New Balance Fresh Foam V4 More shoes and they are great. But the V5’s are even better. Background story: I wanted to lose some weight by running on my treadmill and lifting some weights. But I developed plantar fasciitis (inflammation in my right foot) and I simply could not run at all. Then I bought the New Balance Fresh Foam V4 More shoes and they are so wonderfully cushioned I could run again! I lost 42 pounds (and my goal was only 20 pounds). The V4’s are great but they’re not perfect. Enter the New Balance Fresh Foam V5 More shoes!! Heaven. They are even more cushioned and more comfortable than the V4’s. The “tongue” doesn’t bunch up or move to the side like the V4’s tongue tends to do while running. And finally, the fit is perfect…almost like a custom shoe…at least for my feet. I have never had a more cushioned and comfortable shoe in my life! Honestly, the V4 changed my life and the V5 made my life even better. I have no clue how accurate my smart-scale is regarding how healthy I have become but it says I shaved seven years off my metabolic age. I would take that claim with a grain of salt. A few things that are absolutely true…I am far healthier than I was before, I actually enjoy running again, and my love handles have been sent to the blubber graveyard. Oh, one more thing….every time I see a woman from age 25 to 96….they invariably give me their phone number while simultaneously saying , “Nice shoes, Ramrod….and even nicer slim and trim body”! Okay, I made that last part up, but everything else in this review is 100% accurate!! Get the V5’s….especially, if you’re suffering from any type of manageable foot pain and still want to jog/run….or simply want a perfectly cushioned shoe. Side note: I have two relatives who have bought the V4’s and V5’s just for the cushioning. They use them exclusively as every day “around the house” and walking shoes ….and love them.     • My favorite and a little tip

I own 2 pair of these and they may be my all-time favorite shoes. I had a hip resurfacing surgery done, last year, and these are both comfortable and can be challenging enough for me to walk long distances in while never leaving me feeling in pain. I own numerous zero drop, minimalist, wide toe box shoes which I’ve worn my entire life. I can’t say that wearing these soft shoes have had any negative impact on my stability, gait, or foot strength. I think where they truly shine is, for those who heel strike, the squishy sole absorbs and dissipates impact.
