    • Easy to work
My only issue was one of the parts during assembly didn't want to cooperate. You can adjust the metal detector for sensitivity, which metals to detect, volume and screen brightness. It isn't too heavy either.

The #OMMO Metal Detector arrives unassembled but following the directions made assembly a simple task. Once assembled, there are a couple of adjustments that can be made to ensure proper fit. The armrest can be moved closer to or further away from the grip and the length of the detector head can be extended or shortened. After these are dialed in, the metal detector fits very comfortably, and I can see myself being able to look for treasures for several hours. Of course, you'll be stopping frequently to dig up those hidden treasures. The screen has 5 brightness levels which helps to see the screen depending on the weather conditions. Operation of the metal detector is as easy as pushing a button. There are three modes, volume settings and sensitivity adjustments. The package also includes headphones to help keep outside noise at bay and focus on the task at hand. I tried the OMMO in our backyard and found a lot of construction debris. Screws, nails, and small metal objects. Can't wait to use this at the lake and the beach. Very happy with the quality and functionality of the OMMO Metal Detector. ... show more

    • Not only fun
But I have already gotten two nails out of my gravel drive way. Saved me two flat tires. Now anytime I have work done around the house I will have my own metal detector to find any stray nails or screws that are left behind. The other side of this is fun, I took this out to the country ..we are older now but we were like school kids taking turns running all over the place with this metal detector. Her father had so many buildings and so much machinery out there. but it has been all cleaned up except for some things we found and others we hope to find. We have plans today for another picnic and find junk day..excited to have a toy we are all enjoying. Lots of fun!!! ... show more

    • Fun for the beach!
We spent a few weeks on the beach last month and brought this along. It was a fun distraction and we found some coins, junk metal, and other odds & and ends. Nothing valuable, but the fun is in the searching! This detector is well-balanced and easy to use for extended periods. The adjustable handle is great for finding the right fit for you. Sensitivity was on par with other hobby detectors I've used. It won't find anything deep in the ground, but anything near the surface should ping. It gave some false positives as well, but that's too be expected. Overall, a fun, practical, and worthwhile purchase if you want a decent detector. ... show more

    • Handy tool, works great!
I got this metal detector to replace an old one that was very heavy and never really worked that great. I am super happy with this item. It is very simple to use - turn it on and "go". Controls are easy to figure out and make sense, and the instruction manual is halfway decent if you need to refer to it. The backlit display is large and easy to read. And it is definitely lightweight - about half the weight of my old one! It's very comfortable in hand and balanced well so it's easy to carry for long periods. It is also adjustable which is handy since my husband is a foot taller than I am. It worked great at finding nails in our lawn and landscaping after I had my roof replaced. Truly amazing (and kind of scary actually) how many were found and boy am I glad that my mower isn't spewing them out as projectiles to hit me or anyone else nearby. I haven't brought it to the beach yet but I plan to this weekend and I already know it will work great. At this price point - I do recommend it!
