Our HOA said "cut your trees so the branches don't touch your house or else..." So I went searching on Amazon for something to get the job done. I found this tool and others like it with more reviews. I was hesitant, but decided to buy it because it sounded long enough - longer than all the others. It also said it included a scissor attachment and saw attachment. The other options didn't offer both attachments either. I ended up using both and was impressed with how easy and fun it was to use. Complaints: I ended up needing to use up to 2 extentions + the handle piece + the end (either saw or scissors). [4 total pieces] The cord from the scissors wasn't quite long enough so I was forced to use the saw on a few smaller branches high up. This is where I ran into (2) it tried to unscrew itself a little when sawing extended with 1+ middle inserts. It wasn't too bad, just a little annoying. I had to retighten a few times. (3) I was not wearing adequate gloves [I was wearing rubber gardening gloves] so I developed blisters on all 8 fingers + 1 thumb from using the scissor cord and needed to put on bandaids after about 20 minutes. I believe this was user error on my part. Pros: (1) I was able to change the length of the saw as needed to get our tree into compliance. (2) Using the saw attachment on its own to breakdown the cut branches worked extremely well - the saw cuts great! (3) I was able to start early in the morning without waking my neighbors since it's completely maual - no noise pollution. (4) It only took me, a 130 lbs female with no experience trimming a tree, 6 hours to trim, break down the branches into manageable size, & remove the branches from my front yard. I have no idea what kind of tree this is. All I know is this tool helped me fix our front yard problem, and I'm so glad I bought it!     • Great saw/ bad limb cutter
The pole with just the saw blade on it works amazing, wonderful product the pull string limb cutter attachment however is the cheapest piece of crap I have ever seen. the thin poorly made plastic pullys with no bearings, with a rope that's not the right size for the pullies jams up every single time you try to use it and it's built so poorly I don't think it could cut through a carrot. However I bought this pole saw for the saw not the cutter attachment and it is absolutely worth the money just to use it with the saw but if you're hoping to use the cutter attachment on this that's not going to happen it completely does not function at all but I'm still happy with the awesome saw blade and the high quality Pole. ... show more

I use the saw feature to reach fairly high branches. This works pretty good. It does get a little heavy the longer it gets, however. But thats to be expected. The screw in connections have a tendency to loosen but are easily retightened. The pruning attachment is the strangest I've seen. The pruning blade does not cut like normal where one side slides passed the othe cutting surface. This one has a sharp blade that closes on a flat surface. It doesn't seem like the blade will remain shade when forced into a flat metal surface. Overall, I like the saw feature. The blades(they give you two) cut well and since each section of the pole is like 3 feet long, you can make the length adjust to any height you need. The pole material seems sturdy. It brakes down so you can store it in the included bag. The bag material and straps don't look like they will last too long but it works for now. I am glad I bought this saw. ... show more

    • Fast and Efficient
I'm impressed. I have a bunch of hemlock branches in my back yard. I was afraid this would take a lot of time and energy to cut through the 4 and 5 inch branches. The smaller ones are easy to cut in 30 seconds or so. Even the 4-5 inch ones only took 60-90 seconds to cut. It can be pretty heavy to maneuver when it is long as it gets heavy but you cant really expect it to be feather light and do its job. Once you are on the branch the weight actually works with you to cut. And the shape of the blade and the teeth cut fast. With mine, the branch snapped off and was jagged before I got all the way through. That's fine with me and if you need it with a nice cut you go back and take a few more inches off after. I'm not going to bother. The lopper worked great too. I cut some branches that were too big for it. I just cut it as well as I could and then did a second cut with the lopper for the remaining part. Overall, I don't think this could work any better unless it has a motor on the end. ... show more

    • Excellent long pole saw!
The media could not be loaded. I had this pole saw and pruner set for more than a year, and gave it some heavy use over the past month as I embarked on multiple tall trees removal project (see video). For my application, the length of the pole was critical, and this set has one of the longest poles (26 ft) on Amazon. - The pole: long, extremely sturdy, heavy duty, fiberglass core, nickeled metal threaded connectors. It is heavy to lift up at full length, but if you hold it with your arms spread 2-3 feet apart, this gives a sufficient moment of force. The reward - you can cut very very high up. - The saw - excellent, very sharp. The curved shape is helpful. Molds two sharp hooks at both ends. The top hook is very helpful to rest the saw on a tree limb, or to forcefully grab and pull the limb if there need be. The blade has survived an extreme abuse - was pinched, bent by heavy tree trunks, forcefully pulled and pushed, and is still straight and sharp. - The rope pruner - adequate. It works, but the rope keeps snapping off one pulley. Expect to take it down after each cut and re-adjust. Overall, excellent rugged tool. ... show more
