Good bar for the price now that most retailers raised price on home gym equip during Covid. Bar solid and good quality. Can prob only load 4 (maybe 5) full size plates on each side but enough for my use. Has nice black finish and decent knurling on handles. Packaging left something to be desired - came wrapped and taped up in basically a movers blanket with cardboard sleeves covering most of the bar. But this was not exactly a fragile item so seemed to work okay other than a couple spots where the paint was rubbed off. ... show more

Ever see an item on Amazon, see the price, and think it's too good to be true, something has to be an issue with it. It has to be cheaply made or won't last long. Well, this Everyday Essentials Hex Bar is the real deal! It arrived well packaged and super fast. The welding is real good. The sturdiness of the bar is excellent, it will last for years to come. It arrived with with a bit of paint chipped off but I didn't buy it because of the paint job so I don't mind. I am just letting you all know about it, don't expect it to be perfect all the time. Seriously great bar for the price point! I paid under $100 for it. Does the job and is absolutely sturdy. There are two things I wish were better, but would likely deserve a higher price & this is still a steal - wish the sleeves were a bit longer & wish the knurling on the handle was a little more aggressive (it's reeeeally light). We've since put some tape on the handles & that has made this bar a treat to use. If you're lifting much more than 350#ish, you'll probably want to use smaller plates (like steel ones). ... show more
