My daughters band class provided one mask and my middle schooler lost it….I know I’m not shocked either…. This is exactly what she needs to play in school needless to say she wasn’t overjoyed to have a mask but she was very happy I was able to find what she needed.     • fits great with my face
i use this daily for playing flute in symphonic band. this blocks a lot of the saliva coming from playing. i have a relatively small face but this fits my face great, with no gaps in the mask. the adjustable straps are a life saver, i make them tight enough so they fit my face but not too tight when they hurt my ears. great product for flute playing. ... show more

    • A little small; difficult to play in
The bands attaching to your ears aren’t long enough and thus the mask is a little too small. Wearing this gives me a headache. Also, the hole for your mouth isn’t big enough; it gets caught on the other fabric flap all the time, not allowing me to make a sound on my flute.

This mask did not work for me at all. It was much too small and the hole inside was not properly situated to play the flute. I would not recommend this mask.

This product is the wrong type of fabric and doesn’t have enough room in the front to play with the flute; don’t buy this product. There’s a reason it’s not backordered.

    • Blocks embouchure.
The idea is cool, but the hole in the interior section is too small and keeps covering half of my embouchure. Equally bad for flute and piccolo.

    • Don't buy. This is a just a piece of cloth with no protection whatsoever.
This is a useless mask with no protective properties.

    • Did you not take Band/Orchastra in school?
I don't need to buy this to tell you the big flaw with these types of masks, if the goal is to help prevent wearer from spreading airborne sicknesses, then this mask definitely won't do the job. First off the two holes in the front will never supply an airtight seal. Second, woodwind instruments by nature, require the player to force their own breath through the instrument, this means that "bad air" is escaping from the mask. Thirdly, last I checked students are instructed to keep their instruments at rest until they are ready to play and also when they are not required for long periods in the course of a song. This means that when the students need to return to this rest position, the mask now has two giant holes in the middle of it while there will be other students still playing there various woodwind and brass instruments, thus rendering the mask completely ineffective. Overall the only thing this mask is good is some type fashion statement, and if could rate it this way it would be 0/5. ... show more
