These lights are awesome. They throw a wonderful light on our patio and were super easy to hang. We chose them over some others because they are waterproof and unbreakable. Since we were also going to try a light pole set-up, we didn't want a heavy strands. We ringed our patio with one 100ft strand and they drape beautifully on the poles. One strand had a surprising amount of light so we didn't need to double up the strands. These are also dimmable, (my husband found a dimmer at Home Depot), and they look lovely set low or high. This is my second set of lights. They are great! I ordered a set last year for my deck. They've lasted with no issues. I haven't even had to replace a bulb yet. There are 2 replacement bulbs that come in the box. They've have been through rain storms, snow storms and heavy winds and still look as bright and pretty as they did when I first got them. I came back for a second set this season to put around the ceiling of my covered patio. They really set off our back yard when we entertain in the evening. This is my third set of these lights. I will always buy these for any outdoor lighting. They are great quality. The bulbs are a thick plastic look and feel like glass, but they do not break. The cord is sturdy, but not too heavy and the light bulbs seem to last forever. I use them for front porch and backyard lighting and I also have a long set we use when we go camping highly recommend. ... show more

Only reason these get 4 stars, is because I thought I was buying one consecutive 150ft strand, in order to avoid the connection area being visible in the middle of my yard. However, once we opened the package, we realized it was just two strands that totaled 150ft which we had actually already bought. So now I have 4 strands of lights lol.
