They put off great light. I got these for along the awning of our camper. I love that they have a timer function. They also come back on at whatever you had them set at when they turned off. Texas is known for its knee jerk weather, making outdoor purchases a gamble in even the mildest of seasons. These string lights exceed value for the price point, quality and durability in any kind of weather. The lighting is romantic and swoon worthy and calls to us night after night to side on the patio. The bulbs are long lasting, as a recent mishap had them switched on 24 hours a day while we were away on a two week vacation. Installation is a cinch. No need to hire out to have them placed. Out of two sets I had one controler stop working. Also had several bulbs fill with water, so they are not really water proff. They will drain/dry out and glue can seal them around the edge of the bulb and base.

These lights are awesome. They throw a wonderful light on our patio and were super easy to hang. We chose them over some others because they are waterproof and unbreakable. Since we were also going to try a light pole set-up, we didn't want a heavy strands. We ringed our patio with one 100ft strand and they drape beautifully on the poles. One strand had a surprising amount of light so we didn't need to double up the strands. These are also dimmable, (my husband found a dimmer at Home Depot), and they look lovely set low or high. Because they are so light, I expect they would work really well in the 'command' hooks too, but we ended up loving the poles. ... show more
