Love, Love, LOVE these lights! I have purchased these lights multiple times and I will continue doing so. They flicker just like a torch. Solar powered! Elegant and beautiful. They look so "real" that I told my boozed up friend that I had to "blow out the torches, before I went in the house" and she ACTUALLY said "how has your house not caught on fire?" Lol! These lights are not like any others. Easy to set up and they work through the winter season (found that out when I forgot to take them in and they lit up while the snow was blowing, whoops). Great price! You can make the torches tall or short in size (extra poles included). I've had these lights for quite a few years and haven't had any issues. Highly recommend. Our pool's covered patio bar has a tiki theme, so we were hoping these torches would carry that vibe out around the pool. They are perfect. From a distance they really do resemble a burning flame, and even close up they still give that tiki torch feeling to the area. I hope they last a couple of seasons, but time will tell. Their fire color is an orangy color, a little more to the red compared to our gas fire pit's flames but they look nice together lit up. I was a little concerned that they wouldn't be tall enough for my taste, but they're plenty tall and compliment the surroundings. The one thing I would like to see as an improvement would be a sensitivity control. It comes on when it's the darker part of dusk, and I would prefer it to come on when it's just a little bit lighter outside. Even a manual "on" switch would be helpful so that they could be lit earlier when we have people over. That's only a suggestion and not a complaint, so no stars deducted for it. The quality of the light is nice, and they all four come on as they're supposed to, although at different times spanning two or three minutes. Battery life seems excellent. I onboxed them and set them out around 2pm on a hazy afternoon so I didn't expect them to burn for long that night, but they were all still on when I got up the next morning at 5am. I'm overall very happy with the purchase. UPDATE: It's a little over a year later and I still maintain the 5 star rating, and would give it even more stars for durabilty and reliability if it were possible. They stayed outside around the pool from March 2020 through the summer, as well as staying out there through the winter to the present time. Now in May of 2021 and they still look and work like new. I totally expected at least one or two of them to stop working by now, so I'm very impressed and happy. BTW, I rarely do a review update unless it was a problem involved. This may be the first time I've ever done an update because of how happy I am after a year of use. ... show more

These puppies are bright! I've had a couple different versions and none compared to this company's version.. much better quality! Granted they get a nice charge here in sunny Florida, but let me tell you they were still going lightly at 5:45am from that charge! Impressive and attractive!

    • Very Good Flame Simulation + Excellent Customer Service

I bought four of these torches in March 2020 and am very impressed by their flame simulation. There are numerous products of this type on the market, and some produce a less-than-convincing effect. You have to stand very close to these torches to detect that they are solar simulators. Operating time is directly dependant on the amount of bright sunlight exposure the torches receive during the day. If they get a lot of full sun, they will remain lit all through the night; if the day is cloudy and/or rainy, their operating time may be reduced by half. As they rely completely on solar power, this should not be considered a shortcoming. The only reason I have not given these torches a 5-star rating is because the jury is still out regarding their durability. While the plastic of the light fixture itself seems fairly solid, the plastic of the mounting posts is notably softer and prone to cracking and warping. Also, some of the LEDs in one of my four torches failed within the first three months of use, which did not inspire confidence. When I noticed that one of the torches was no longer fully illuminating (even after several days of intense sunlight exposure), I messaged the seller via Amazon. She was very quick to respond and offered to ship a replacement torch to me, free of charge. Unfortunately, the replacement torch was defective right out of the box and would not illuminate at all. I contacted the seller again and she was very apologetic, and assured me that another torch would be sent out immediately. The second replacement arrived yesterday and works perfectly. When it comes to doing business with a product or service provider, customer service has always been of the utmost importance to me. I can and will forgive numerous other shortcomings if the business demonstrates a genuine desire to ensure a positive experience for the customer, and that is precisely what has happened here. Despite my concerns about the durability of this product, the seller has demonstrated a commitment to keeping me as a customer, and that commitment has sufficiently offset my misgivings to inspire the purchase of eight more of these torches last night. ... show more
