The lights are hard to capture in a video, but they do appear like flame tiki torches from a distance at night. The light lasts until the first light of morning. Sturdy but lightweight. Our pool's covered patio bar has a tiki theme, so we were hoping these torches would carry that vibe out around the pool. They are perfect. From a distance they really do resemble a burning flame, and even close up they still give that tiki torch feeling to the area. I hope they last a couple of seasons, but time will tell. Their fire color is an orangy color, a little more to the red compared to our gas fire pit's flames but they look nice together lit up. I was a little concerned that they wouldn't be tall enough for my taste, but they're plenty tall and compliment the surroundings. The one thing I would like to see as an improvement would be a sensitivity control. It comes on when it's the darker part of dusk, and I would prefer it to come on when it's just a little bit lighter outside. Even a manual "on" switch would be helpful so that they could be lit earlier when we have people over. That's only a suggestion and not a complaint, so no stars deducted for it. The quality of the light is nice, and they all four come on as they're supposed to, although at different times spanning two or three minutes. Battery life seems excellent. I onboxed them and set them out around 2pm on a hazy afternoon so I didn't expect them to burn for long that night, but they were all still on when I got up the next morning at 5am. I'm overall very happy with the purchase. UPDATE: It's a little over a year later and I still maintain the 5 star rating, and would give it even more stars for durabilty and reliability if it were possible. They stayed outside around the pool from March 2020 through the summer, as well as staying out there through the winter to the present time. Now in May of 2021 and they still look and work like new. I totally expected at least one or two of them to stop working by now, so I'm very impressed and happy. BTW, I rarely do a review update unless it was a problem involved. This may be the first time I've ever done an update because of how happy I am after a year of use.

These are amazing! They look like a gas flame torch at night. Great warm colored solar flame. Folks seeing them at night stop to look. These are a great final statement piece for our yard renovation.

The weather has not been hugely cooperative toward charging these solar lights, causing them to only last a few hours after dark, but they are very cool looking. They actually look like small burning torches, complete with flicker effect. When we approach spring and the days are longer and brighter, I would imagine that they will light longer into the night. I got them to line the edge of my raised brick patio so no one accidentally steps off it, and they are great for that, but they do not by any means emit light by which you can see. These are purely decorative, but so unique looking and fun! 100% plastic poles (including the part that you pound into the ground) and "flame" housing, but sturdy enough that I managed to put them together and install them in the winter without breaking them. Pay attention to the height in the description, because they are not very tall when installed, I don't even think 4 feet. But for my purposes they are great and I am pleased with them!

We ordered 2 sets origianlly. We loved them, so we bought another set. They do quit working after a few years, so we have had to order more, but we've now had these torches for about 4 years. They are beautiful and last most of the night, if they get a lot of sun. They'll burn for several hours, even if they don't get full sun.

I saw others have the flame lights and thought they looked really cool. I got these and they are really cool. They are nice and bright, visible from a long ways away. Battery life is really good as long as it gets good sun. They come with two stakes per light if you want them higher. They have an on/off switch which is nice when you want to store them so they don't run down. Not sure on longevity yet but they seem to be built fairly well. Would definitely recommend putting away for the off season.
