I ordered this for our school's playground. Our basketball standards were removed when they redid the surface of that part of the playground. The school's budget allocates new standards for the next school year. That won't do for my sixth graders who love to play basketball at lunch and recess. I saw this and put in an order. It is well made. The structure is solid metal. The backboard is good quality plastic. Assembly wasn't a problem. The bolts go right in. You can adjust its height with the bolts. Several settings run up the upright pole. We set to the same height as the gym's standards. The one thing I wish was different is the bottom weight. I filled it with water. It is easily done with a hose. The seal is good. I'd feel better if the lower weight held more water to provide more of a sturdy foundation. It is good as it is. No storm will topple the standard. I offer this only as a suggestion. Our school is very pleased with this new standard on our playground. ... show more

The kids played basketball in a local league, and we wanted a goal for them to practice at home. This has been fantastic, and we've all enjoyed having it. It was easy to assemble, and the height is adjustable. We did end up using our own tools to assemble it, as the included tools were...free. All that said, this is our first free-standing basketball goal, so we don't have a point of comparison. My husband says that the "give," of the backboard will affect layups and rebounds compared to a gym hoop, but the kids don't care and still like to practice. It looks nice and not "cheap," and I have no complaints. ... show more

This is exactly what I expected. It is sturdy, set up is straightforward and we are thrilled to get to play basketball at home! Also glad to have it free standing and not built in so it can move with us if need be! Seems like it will last for years!

Adjustable up to 10 feet which is normal size hoop. The clear backboard is nice and made from thick plexiglass and wont crack or break when the ball hits it over and over. Stands up great and is sturdy. You will need to have weight on the bottom or it will come down. There is a hole on the base that will allow you to put water or sand, and for extra measure I put a bog rock, just to make sure. Easy to set up and will last years. 10/10 Product. This basket ball goal set was easy to assemble. We had it fully set up in about 45 minutes. The base is hollow and has to be filled with sand or water. We used water. The pole is very well made and feels like good metal. The backboard is a good size and perfect for back yard ball. I like that it has wheels on the base too. This makes it easy to move when needed.
