The fan is too weak to dry any food at low temps. before it rots. The other dryers I've had, the fans are loud and strong, so running on a porch in fresh air is the best option. I thought this was an upgrade, but no.

This arrived with a small dent in the top of it even though it was packaged inside of foam. The dent does not affect the performance at all. And i'm still glad that I got this. I use a dehydrator quite often and have the round kind with the plastic trays. The first and best thing I noticed about this one, is it is super quiet. You can barely even hear it running at all. The second best thing is the metal trays. Trying to get away from using plastics of any kind. It is the perfect size to fit on the counter and holds quite a bit given its size. The instruction booklet is clear and easy to understand. The digital temperature and timer settings are a big plus. It performed exceptionally well to make jerky. Im really pleased over all.
