I actually bought this for my tool bag. It's magnetic, and I wanted to be able to stick it up when I'm working in enclosed spaces and not have to use a flashlight. This would leave both hands free. There's a button on the bottom that you can use to control it and also adjust the brightness. Review for OLIGHT Sphere Smart Night Light (Christmas Snowflake) I recently purchased two of these OLIGHT Sphere Smart Night Lights for my kids, and while the overall experience has been positive, there was a hiccup that took some of the shine off an otherwise fantastic product. Here's my breakdown: Design and Functionality The design is absolutely charming. The Christmas snowflake pattern adds a festive touch, and the polycarbonate shell feels sturdy and high-quality. Its compact size (just over 2 inches) makes it perfect for placing on a bedside table or carrying around. My kids loved the look, and it fit seamlessly into their bedrooms as both a night light and decorative piece. The 360-degree light-emitting surface is a standout feature, providing soft yet sufficient lighting across the room. It has a maximum output of 75 lumens, which is more than enough for reading, relaxing, or simply setting a cozy ambiance. The transparent shell helps diffuse the light beautifully, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Lighting Options and App Control The variety of lighting modes is impressive. There are seven options accessible directly via the bottom switch, and an additional 20 customizable modes through the app. From simple white light to vibrant dynamic colors, this lamp can match any mood or occasion. The app itself is a game-changer. Not only can you control brightness and colors remotely, but features like group control (up to 100 lamps!), a countdown timer, and a music rhythm mode add a playful and functional dimension. I tried troubleshooting—recharging it and resetting the app settings—but nothing worked. The other lamp, however, has been functioning flawlessly for weeks, so I’m inclined to believe it was an isolated defect. Final Thoughts This night light is innovative, versatile, and visually appealing. It offers fantastic value for its features and is a great addition to any room, especially for kids or festive settings. However, the quality control issue with one of the lamps was disappointing, which is why I’m giving this product 4 stars instead of 5. UPDATE: so Olight reached out to me and resolved the issue , they clearly value their customers and that was a surprise to me , they’ve earned my respect and definitely worth 5 stars ⭐️. Thankyou Olight for making things right . When this light works it’s very fun and bright with lots of color option, just wish the app would stop needing and update every week or at least keep me logged in . Please improve your app Olight , it’s kinda slow when it starts up, but works fast when it’s going , so I know there’s room for improvement. Still 5 out 5 stars and keep up the good work . The app did its own maintenance and needed me to log back in, it says the password won’t work , went to redo it and it gives you 60 seconds to place a code in but never gives you the code, then locks you out. So this product deletes my password , then refuses to let you re do it . Now it’s just useless and can’t do anything without the app. Very disappointed ... show more

I picked up one after the annual CES Show in Las Vegas just for fun, and then, immediately wanted more. So, I've purchased here on Amazon and from Olight directly. It looks kind of silly and gimmicky, but if you like cool lights, this is not just some tiny one trick pony light. It has tons of tricks. From a campfire mode, or a fireworks mode, the color are super bright, the light can be dim to quite bright, it's magnetic, the charger is magnetic, and you can control one or more via an app on your phone. I've been telling everyone about these cool lights! Sure, make it a solid color if you need, or use one of the animated presets that do all kinds of things! One mode even looks kind of like a pretty butterfly flying around. There's tons of LEDs inside this thing, and it is NOT some cheap plastic light that will disappoint. This is a cool little gadget! Lights up a room and great for power outages. The small shape fits in your hand! I’ve been eyeing this for awhile and pulled the trigger and bought it on Black Friday week watching the price go down. I love that it has different color settings and keeps a good charge it’s been a few days and battery hasn’t been drained. I wish the app was for the device only or at least shows the device first it’s a lot of ads for other olight products! It is also waterproof and dust proof.
