My hair is very thin and breaks easily. I am in my 70s and Alexa recommended this shampoo to me. I thought it was very expensive but I was desperate so so I bought a bottle. Oh my goodness, it has changed the texture of my hair overtime and when I comb my hair, I lose so much less hair than I used to. For me, it was a slow process and it is still in progress, but my hair is looking better day by day. I absolutely love the shampoo and as far as the expense goes, you only put the size of a dime of the shampoo in your hand and it miraculously is enough to wash my entire head of hair. So yes, it is an expensive initial output, but it lasts a long long time and it works great. I highly recommend this shampoo to anyone that has thin breaking hair. A little while ago my hair used to look all frizzy and now it’s very smooth. Yes it did take time for it to accomplish this, but it was well worth the wait! A few years ago, my hair was straight and then it got damaged and turned frizzy. I just can’t say enough about how good this is.

Leaves My Hair Soft and Healthy

I’ve been using Olaplex No. 4 for a while, and I can definitely tell the difference. My hair feels cleaner, softer, and looks healthier after every wash. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts longer than I expected. It’s a great choice if your hair is dry or has been color-treated. I would definitely purchase it again.

The miracle you have been waiting for

This is the holy grail of hair products. I am in my late 40s and have thin, dry, color damaged hair. My hair has been frizzy and I could only wear a ponytail and even in that it would become a tangled rat mess. I have tried 100s of dollars in products from Keratin hair treatments, Aveda products, Nexus, Pantene, Its a 10, blowouts EVERYTHING under the sun and nothing was working. I was ready to shave my head and start over. Then I found this and read soooo many reviews and said shoot all I have to lose is more money. So for my fine, thin, color/highlighted damaged hair I got the 4/5 shampoo and conditioner, weightless nourishing mask,#3 Bond building hair and the #9 Bond Protector. My hair is now SOOOFFFTTT, not frizzy even when it is humid out (I live in the desert) so not many humid days until recently. This is all in just 3 days!!! Day one I used the Shampoo and Hair mask with already noticeable difference, Day 2 and 3 I used only the shampoo and conditioner. I started with the small bottles at $30 each and I am so far very pleased and plan on once I run out getting the larger bottles. I will tell you that you need a very very small amount of shampoo, it goes a LONG ways. The conditioner maybe a nickel size amount as it also goes a long ways. When I first used this and was done rinsing my hair, it did not feel soft and I was thinking okay I am going to not have fun brushing my wet hair and it was going to be a waste of money. Boy I was fooled. even though my hair did not feel soft and slick after conditioning, the wet brush I use as always just glided thru my hair with such ease. I was like oh okay and then once I dried it I was completely shocked at the difference the first wash alone had made. There were no tangles and the entire day my hair has been smooth, soft and manageable! I say take your chance and get this product, I hope you are as happy as I am with this. I plan on tossing every other hair product away now that this is the only thing that genuinely works for my hair in a way that I have never experienced with a hair product before.

Total game changer

So, I'm late to the Olaplex party. I've used every other bonding product under the sun, but for whatever reason balked at Olaplex, even though it is not more expensive than some of the others (looking at you, Redken). But out of sheer desperation and unhappiness with the results of other products (again, Redken specifically, but also Pantene, Bold Uniq, etc.), I decided to give Olaplex a shot. Holy moly am I impressed!! For reference, my hair is very thin, finer than angel hair (if such a thing existed), and highly prone to breakage and damage. But I hate my natural color (makes me look washed out) and have been highlighting for decades. Then throw in a couple of years of having sew-in extensions that ripped out soooooo much of my real hair and did so much damage and I am now where I am with extremely fragile hair and not much of it. Side-bar - to all the boys and girls looking at getting extensions, get a halo!!!! They are THE best and the least damaging to your real hair. They seriously only take 1-2 minutes to put in. Do NOT get the semi-permanent kind. It will jack your hair from here to eternity. So in a last-ditch effort to heal my badly damaged hair, I bought Olaplex O, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9 and OH MY GOD my hair looks and feels amazing!!! It's soft and flowy and bouncy and shiny. I have NEVER been more impressed with a line of hair care products in my life. Of the six products that I bought, the only one I am unlikely to repurchase is the No. 0. I'm not finding that it makes much of a difference for me but the rest have completely turned my hair around. The shampoo is super moisturizing and feels so luxurious. And a little goes a very long way too. The bottle is going to last a while. I only need to use a fraction of what I did before with other shampoos. Same with the conditioner. The bonding oil (No. 7) is also out of this world. I add a little to my damp hair after applying the No. 9 bond protector serum and my hair feels so soft and silky after blow drying and curling. I could go on, but it's probably clear if you've read to this point that I am an Olaplex convert and beyond thrilled with the results of these products. If your hair is fragile, fried, and damaged seemingly beyond repair, it's definitely worth giving this product line a shot. My only regret is that I waited so long!!!

Wonderful!

I love what this shampoo does for my hair and how it makes my hair feel and behave. The scent is also very pleasant and barely noticeable. It's definitely up there in price, but after my hairdresser used it on my hair, I had to buy my own bottle. The good thing is that it really lathers up so you only need a tiny little bit of it each time. I think it will last longer than the other rather expensive shampoos I've been using, such as AG and others. My hair is fine, a bit past shoulder length, and I color it. I used to do highlights, but that became too damaging so I just went to a medium brown color and now only do the roots about every 6 weeks. Even this mild routine is hard on my fine and fragile hair, so I needed to try something different. I really do see a substantial difference in my hair with this shampoo, and it's not just hype. It makes my hair soft and not so flyaway, although since I also use the Olaplex 5 conditioner and #6 leave-in styler (which seems more like a leave-in conditioner), plus the #7 oil for the very ends, so all of these products together really make my hair behave and look better. Due to the price (ouch!), I'm careful to not waste any of the products, but from what I'm seeing after about 6 to 7 weeks of use so far, they will last quite a long time. Highly recommended, and definitely better for me than anything else I've used.

Best results using the whole Olaplex system

Olaplex is a product line that repairs processed hair damage. I have damage from lightening done to try to blend my incoming gray hair so eventually, I will have all my natural hair and no color treatments at all. The highlights and lowlights, in combination with toner every 8 weeks have fried my hair and Olaplex is the only treatment system that has repaired the cuticle of my hair (smoothed it out) so that I don't look like I have a head covered in straw. This product, No.4 is the Maintenance Shampoo. It should follow a treatment of No.3 which is used once a week or as needed. (Less if your hair is healthier and more if it's not.) . The shampoo by itself leaves my hair feeling rough and it doesn't rinse well, but when it is used and then followed by No.5 conditioner and No.6 leave-in conditioner, it works great! NOTE: No.1 and No.2 are done in-salon and the best results will be achieved right after those treatments and daily use of No. 4, No.5 and No.6. This stuff is expensive, but it takes very little to get a rich lather. It's watery in its consistency, so you have to take care not to get too much running out of the bottle. I would never recommend this to anyone who has healthy hair already. It would be a waste of money. I would recommend it to those who have chemically processed hair that appears dull, dry or fuzzy, who are also committed to the whole system; both in the salon and at home. If you are willing to commit to the products and can afford to do so, it works, but you have to do them all to get the best results. I will be fully transitioned to my natural hair by the end of the year and will no longer need to use Olaplex as long as I don't use color, highlight or bleach my hair. But for the in-between, this stuff is a life-saver to parched hair as it rebuilds the hair, smoothing and softening it as it goes. If you need to bring life back to over-processed hair, give this stuff a try.

Olaplex No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo has quickly become one of my favorites. It leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, and smooth without making it feel stripped or dry. My hair looks healthier, shinier, and more manageable after using it, and a little goes a long way. I also love that it gives my hair a fresh, salon-like feel without being overly heavy. It’s especially nice for damaged, dry, or color-treated hair. Definitely a little more expensive than regular shampoo, but I think it’s worth it for the results.

Revived my hair quality

Olaplex revived my hair. I never regret buying it! It’s made my hair so much thicker, healthier, and keeps my hair cleaner longer. I would suggest this to anyone who feels like nothing they’re doing to their hair is working or making a difference. Stacking the products helps, too. And I know they are a bit more expensive than drugstore products, but they do last long because a little bit goes a long way. I promise it’s worth it!
